No Christmas story is complete without a little mischief. While helping out, Tinsel almost landed herself on the naughty list. Tinsel managed to sneak into the treats and helped herself. Unfortunately, she had so much she gave herself pancreatitis. It started with a tummy ache and nausea. Sparkles soon became concerned, but Tinsel was so scared of becoming a disappointment, she would not own up to what she did. Sparkles helped perform an exam, including listening to Tinsel's heart and helped one of the girls take blood. They became so concerned that Tinsel may have gotten into something unknowingly, they ran a blood test. Finally Tinsel admitted to her gluttony and they put her on a bland diet and Cerenia to help with the nausea.

Sparkles and Tinsel were so moved by their experience in healing, they decided they could help other animals. And so they strove to help the Empire Vet crew in any way they could. This ranged from helping reception with checking patients in. They also assisted in running bloodwork to find out what was wrong with a vomiting dog. They helped decorate the rest of the clinic to cheer everyone up. They even tried to learn about knee joints and how they can help keep other animals spry.

‘Twas the night before Christmas… and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring — except your cat chasing the mouse! 🐶🎅
The stockings were hung (and maybe chewed on a bit 😆),
While visions of treats made our pets sit! 🍪🐾
Here’s to a night filled with snuggles, wagging tails, and holiday magic. ❤️🎄
Happy Christmas Eve from your veterinary family!

Matey started to truly get into the Christmas spirit. Maybe too much. While decorating, the three took to playing and knocked down some of the poinsettias, causing Matey to fall into the sink. "Safety first." Tinsel meowed out. They had to make sure no harm had come to their charge. They decided to perform an exam to ensure Matey was not hurt. Tinsel asked "How do we perform a medical exam?" "Don't worry Tinsel. The first step is to take vitals." Sparkles responded.
Sparkles helped get Matey's weight. Tinsel helped get Matey's temperature (even though Matey did not appreciate it). They found a small injury on Matey's tail. Thankfully nothing too serious. After consulting with Dr. Sue, they wrapped up his tail and put him on bed rest.

Please stop your scrolling for a moment to share in a Christmas tail of Santa's feline helpers and a Christmas Captain Matey will never forget.
Captain Matey was a sad soul, a lonely cat with no home for the holidays. He was only a kitten, when a sickness sadly caused him to lose his eye. He was brought to Empire Vet for care and the chance for a better life. But despite the love given to him, he still did not feel like the clinic was a home.
Christmas was right around the corner, but the holiday cheer could not find a place to cuddle in his heart. But no fear, Santa's Festive Feline Brigade was here to save the day. Santa saw how lonely Matey was and sent his special operative Tinsel and Sparkles to show Matey the Joy of the Season.
At first Matey did not know what to make of these strange cats. His first instinct was to runaway and hide. But Tinsel and Sparkles did not give up on him. They took him for caroling, took festive photos, and made him help decorate.
