Memorial Day is a time to pause and reflect on service and sacrifice. It also offers a quiet moment to recognize the presence animals have had alongside people in moments that matter. We ask that you do your best to protect your fellow furry friends as we observe this holiday by keeping in mind noise, crowds, and heat that can effect them adversely.

We here at Millis Animal Hospital want to wish you a special day as we remember and honor the sacrifice of those who kept us safe. Have a great long weekend and a meaningful Memorial Day! 🎆🕊️☀️

☀️🐾 Memorial Day Weekend Office Hours 🐾☀️

With Memorial Day right around the corner, please remember to plan ahead for all medications, preventatives, and prescription diet pick-ups to keep your pets happy and healthy through the holiday!

If your pet needs refills or food, please stop by or contact us before closures to avoid any last-minute stress. A gentle reminder we do ask for at least 2-3 business days for prescription refills.

We hope you and your family have a safe and special Memorial Day weekend! 🎆☀️🕊️

Although Miller wasn't feeling his best, he was sure to still get in some good cuddles with our team! Miller sat in Meagan's lap the entire time he had fluid therapy, getting some much needed support to help him feel his best again. We hope you are feeling better Miller! 🐾🐶💙

Tofu stopped by for a visit and completely stole our hearts 💕🐾

This beautiful Wire Fox Terrier girl was as sweet and fluffy as her name—soft, gentle, and impossible not to love! She soaked up all the attention during her time at Millis Animal Hospital. We do our best to provide a calm, happy experience from start to finish for all of your fur babies. ✨

We love seeing pups like Tofu feel safe, comfortable, and cared for every step of the way—and we can’t get over how pretty she is!! 🌸🦋

The good news? Lepto is largely preventable with a yearly vaccine. Ask us about leptospirosis vaccination for your dog, and how you can protect your entire family! 508-376-5317

Would you like to have your pet’s spleen checked by ultrasound? 🔍

Here at Millis Animal, our veterinarians are performing an ultrasound study of normal dog/cat spleen anatomy and are looking for volunteer patients! If your pet qualifies, they would receive a FREE abdominal ultrasound and evaluation of their spleen.

The service will be performed at NO charge to our clients, and we will select the first 6 dogs and 4 cats which meet the criteria of the study. 🔬🐾

How do pets qualify? Glad you asked!

Dogs must be:

🦴Healthy with no underlying medical conditions or be on any chronic medications other than heartworm and flea and tick prevention
🦴Between the ages of 2 and 6 years
🦴Between 20 to 50 pounds
🦴Have no known past or current splenic disease
🦴A current patient of Millis Animal Hospital

Cats must be:

🐈‍⬛Healthy with no underlying medical conditions or be on any chronic medications
🐈‍⬛Between the ages of 2 and 8 years
🐈‍⬛Healthy weight
🐈‍⬛Have no known past or current splenic disease
🐈‍⬛A current patient of Millis Animal Hospital

🚨All applications must be submitted by May 1st!🚨

The pets who are chosen will be given medications prior to their visit, pain medication during the exam and will be dropped off for the exam to be performed.

If you’re interested in this study, please contact our office by May 1st by either sending us an email or giving the office a call at 508-376-5317! 📞
