It is more than just training your dog how to do something, or how to stop them from doing something. It is about building a healthy relationship with them. Our approach is simple we focus on the 3 Pillars of a Healthy Relationship; Communication, Boundaries, and ensuring it is Mutually Beneficial. These 3 Pillars ensure that a relationship is strong, built on trust, and can last forever.
Communication: We focus on helping you communicate with your dog better. This means helping you show them what you mean and expect when you tell them to do something. It also means helping you understand what your dog is communicating to you. More than just learning to read what typical dog body language means, but understanding what your dog wants and needs from you in every moment.
Boundaries: This is a simple, yet overlooked, part of a relationship with our dogs. We often times let them push us around a little more than we should. Spoiling them to the point that they do not understand simple boundaries and the benefits of them. This is also where you can help your dog learn patience, or as some like to call it "impulse control".
Mutually Beneficial: This is a huge part of what makes a relationship "healthy". If only one side of the relationship is benefiting from the other, it can lead to taking advantage of one another. This also means one side typically ends up unhappy or resentful toward the other. This Pillar is huge and needs to be addressed. This is where we look at the benefits we bring to our dog, and also the benefits we get from them. This is where we focus on helping them satisfy their natural desires, while we also make sure they are doing it in a way that does not hinder our peace in life. There is no reason you both can't be happy and satisfied while you enjoy life together right?
These 3 Pillars are what drive our training philosophy and programs. Our goal is to help every dog owner have a happy healthy relationship with their dog, so that they can enjoy their lives together. After all, no one get a dog with the thought in mind "I sure would like some more stress in my life" right?
