This semester we have been blessed with the extra help of Fairfield High School Senior Landon Beasy. We have known Landon since he got his very own Hereford cow Bella, when he was 7 years old. What I mean by cow is a half dead several month old calf that we (him, his parents, and myself) had to work diligently to treat and revive. Those memories will remain near the top of my list forever. Landon and Bella still have a special bond (and she still hates me) and he is still the kind, caring, hard working soul I met that day, only bigger and stronger and today he turns 18!!! I posted some pictures his mom took, and which I nabbed from Angela Miller Beasy 's fb page, of Bella and Landon.
It has been an absolute pleasure to have Landon along this semester and thank you to all of our clients who have graciously allowed him to work on their farms and with their animals. These work based learning programs are the ultimate get out of jail card for the kids, and beneficial to businesses too!
I hope all of the kids attending the FFA Convention this weekend have a meaningful and wonderful time, and especially Landon, because I know he's worked hard and deserves it!
Photos below of some of our adventures, and yes, for those wondering, we totally did tailgate neuters today on his birthday! [Gotta round up pics of the sheep, pig and cattle fun!] Cheers to adulthood and all that lies ahead Landon!!! It's going to be fun watching and helping you chase your dreams buddy! Angee and Doug Beasy thank you for raising such an amazing son, and sharing him with me! 18??!! ๐ฅน
