My foster dog Nash is ready for his next adventure & available for adoption through the Paw Pals of Clinton County Humane Society.

Here’s what I say about him:

Nash is super sweet guy who can be a typically stubborn cattle dog. He is ecollar trained and when utilizing that tool he walks nicely on leash, knows place command and basic obedience. He plays best with female dogs and does okay with very neutral male dogs. Nash can be slightly vocal in his kennel when someone first walks in but will settle. We have worked through barrier reactivity but that will take some management. I believe he will do best in a home with someone who knows a cattle dog & can hold him accountable. He’s a good eater and food motivated but isn’t big on toys. He will make a good hiking buddy & loyal partner to someone. On occasion we have seen the typical cattle dog herding instincts with some playful nips at the base of the feet but he is easily redirected. A fenced in yard would be ideal but not a deal breaker if you plan to use an ecollar. Message me or the Humane Society with questions.

A lot of new faces floating around here so I couldn’t think of a better time to introduce myself to those who don’t know me yet!

Hi 👋🏼 I’m Keelend and I’m the owner here at K-9 Comfort Kennels. When I’m not catering to clients pups I am catering to my own. I have a deep love for Standard Poodles and can usually be found maintaining coat or traveling for various sports & shows! I also am the leader for our local 4-H dog club which is near and dear to my heart as a fellow 10 year 4-H member! 🍀

When it’s not dogs, it’s a toddler and that might be even more time consuming! 🤪 Jory is my one & only kiddo who you might see greeting people in the front office here & there. I hope she shares the same great passion for dogs as her momma, no pressure 😉

My husband is our wonderful “maintenance man” and makes all my dreams come true! Couldn’t have built our wonderful new building without lots of hours and hard work from him. 🤍

I have been boarding, grooming & training since 2019 (but have held a leash in my hand since I could walk) and our small business has flourished thanks to our wonderful clientele. What started as a part time gig flourished into something amazing after we personally had a hard time finding somewhere we trusted for our own pups to stay during our wedding. We pride ourselves on providing a quiet, calm & fun environment to meet the needs of each individual dog in our care. Looking forward to meeting everyone new in person soon! 😊

NEW POLICY UPDATE:
If you cancel within 24 hours of any service you will be required to put a card on file & pay 50% of the next service to book again. We are extremely flexible and understanding but the last minute consistent cancellations/rebookings with reoccurring clients has gotten out of control. If you reschedule at the time of pickup from the previous appointment it’s been on your schedule for weeks. We can not typically fill a service within 12-24 hours notice. We do understand things happen however this will help us hopefully cut down on us losing money as a small business 🩷
