Shout out to one of our top clients! You rock! Congratulations Jerry!!!
Today we’re celebrating a big milestone in the Street Department—25 years of service for Jerry Leonard!
For most of those years, Jerry has been out there doing the work we all know and respect—putting in the time, effort, and hard work it takes to keep our city moving. About 8 years ago, he stepped up to take over our recycling program and did everything he could to keep it going strong.
These days, Jerry has taken on the role at the guard shack, and if you’ve stopped by the Street Department, chances are he’s the first person you see. Whether it’s a wave, or a quick conversation, Jerry makes sure everyone is welcomed the right way. It may seem like a small thing, but it goes a long way and it speaks to the kind of person he is.
Jerry is a proud veteran, a family man, and someone who always brings a little humor to the job—which, as we all know, goes a long way in this line of work.
25 years of dedication, adaptability, and commitment to the City of Frankfort is something to be proud of. We’re lucky to have him on our team, and I’m personally grateful for everything he’s done for this department over the years.
