As an update on the turtle that was brought in yesterday, she had been in intensive care throughout the night since she had full shell trauma. As we waited for the right time for surgery her status declined and the Doctor decided that euthanasia was the best option. Thank you all for the help and concern.

This Fresh water turtle needs your help!
This turtle was run over by a car and left in the street. It was brought into our care by a woman who had the heart of picking it up and noticed the horrible shape it was in. The turtle has shell trauma, and will need surgery. We will rehabilitate and release when the time is right. Please help us by donating at:

Big THANK YOU to Nick at Fox Valley! Not only was he very personable and a delight to work with, but he donated 20 lbs of formula to the orphaned manatee at the Aquario Nacional in Dominican Republic who was stabbed over 30 times by local fishermen and is now depending solely on donations for daily milk/formula. Fox Valley not only has great customer service, where one can speak and work with the owner directly and with his full attention, but Fox Valley also manufactures high quality and specialty formulas for multiple species of wild life. (Contact information for Fox Valley 18006794666) Thank you Fox Valley!!

FL: Vote YES on #240
More Info
Help Save Miami Pets!

20,000 dogs and cats die every year at Miami-Dade Animal Services. That's
60 to 70 pets killed per day. Ballot Initiative #240 would help reduce the killing by improving animal welfare, increasing adoptions and providing free and low-cost spay/neuter, low-cost veterinary care and educational programs.

While this initiative does not address Miami-Dade's breed discriminatory law that targets pit bull terrier type dogs and puppies in the shelter and in the community, we believe that #240 is an important first step in reducing shelter deaths in Miami-Dade.

Please vote yes on #240 on November 6th.

Remember, politics is not a spectator sport.

Theo, a bomb-sniffing springer spaniel who died in Afghanistan on the day his soldier partner was killed, was posthumously honored with the Dickin Medal, Britain's highest award for bravery by animals. Theo worked alongside Lanc...
