This week we celebrate our 30th anniversary. I began Silver Bluff on the 29th of April in 1996 with a vision to create an animal clinic that offers a common-sense, natural approach to medicine in a non-threatening and homelike environment. I feel proud that, after 30 years, we have built a solid reputation within our community and have been able to serve the Silver Bluff and Miami communities in the way that I envisioned so many years ago.
Having a privately owned animal clinic is now the exception rather than the norm, as corporations have moved in to control veterinary medicine as a whole. There are corporations that not only own many of the animal hospitals but also control many of the pet products and pet foods that we sell. Despite this corporate pressure, we have succeeded in providing a safe haven for those looking for an alternative mode of care. We have made mistakes along the way, but all in all, I think we have achieved our mission.
A special thanks to my always supportive loving wife ,Neva, my 3 children, Mami ,Papi my brothers and sister and cousins and all my family members and friends that have supported me on this journey thank you very much. To Lisette who has shared 25+ years with me😘.To Elisa for her strength and commitment of 10+ years 😘To all the nurses, receptionist, and doctors that I have been honored to work side by side with thank you. To the 35+ staff members that have become or are on their way to becoming the veterinarians of the future ,I hope you always carry a piece of Silver Bluff in your hearts.
This year will be a year of some remodeling changes to make upgrades to our facilities and to enhance the experience.. We will host an open house once these are completed. We will keep everyone posted. We are excited to continue to serve the community for many years to come.
