This week we celebrate our 29th anniversary. I began Silver Bluff on the 29th of April in 1996 with a vision to create an animal clinic that offers a common-sense, natural approach to medicine in a non-threatening and homelike environment. I feel proud that, after 29 years, we have built a good reputation within our community and have been able to serve the Silver Bluff and Miami communities in the way that I envisioned so many years ago.
Having a privately owned animal clinic is now the exception rather than the norm, as corporations have moved in to control veterinary medicine as a whole. There are corporations that not only own many of the animal hospitals but also control many of the pet products and pet foods that we sell. Despite this corporate pressure, we have succeeded in providing a safe haven for those looking for an alternative mode of care. We have made mistakes along the way, but all in all, I think we have achieved our mission.
This year has been full of many changes, including major changes in our administration and many of our programs, but I believe we will emerge stronger and better than ever. I am as passionate as ever about practicing ethical, high-quality veterinary medicine. I will continue to strive to make Silver Bluff Animal Clinic the best it can be and to serve the community as best we can. We appreciate all the clients who have placed their trust in us, and we will continue to improve.
We are looking forward to our 30-year anniversary with new changes and improvements. Thank you to all of our clients, family, and friends who have supported us throughout these years. We could not have done it without you. And thank you to all the staff members, past and present, who have left their mark and helped us become the clinic we are today.
