Everybody asks me the same question…
“How do you start training a puppy?” First off, we customize each individual dogs curriculum.
And honestly, I start a little differently than most trainers.
The first thing I’m looking at isn’t tricks.
It’s not commands.
It’s mindset, structure, confidence, engagement, and how the puppy learns to exist in the world.
A lot of people rush straight into obedience without building the foundation first. That foundation is what creates a stable, reliable dog later on.
So today I decided I’m finally gonna start recording more of the process and putting out more educational content.
Because dog training is a completely unregulated industry. Anybody can wake up tomorrow, call themselves a trainer, and start giving advice to the public — whether that advice is good or bad.
And after 21 years of doing this professionally, I feel a responsibility to help people understand what proper training actually looks like.

guests at the door, distractions outside, real life.

Content can look impressive.
Consistency is what actually matters.

Some dogs are “fully trained”…
