🌟 Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Dr. Lago Alvarez, our new Medical Director at VCA Knowles Central! 🌟

Dr. Lago Alvarez earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She went on to complete a large animal rotating internship and a specialty internship in theriogenology at the University of Illinois, followed by a residency in comparative theriogenology at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.

With a strong passion for reproductive medicine—especially assisted reproduction—Dr. Lago Alvarez has dedicated her training and clinical work to advancing this field. She has also contributed to scientific knowledge through authorship and co-authorship of publications in prestigious journals, including Nature.

Before joining us, she served as the Medical Director at VCA North Plano in Texas, where she provided exceptional leadership and care. Now happily settled in Florida with her family, Dr. Lago Alvarez is excited to be a part of the VCA Knowles Central family and looks forward to serving our community with compassion and excellence.
