Hubba hubba here he comes! Beck is a one-year-old lab/plott hound mix who's 60 pounds of pure love!
Beck is hands down one of the most affectionate pups you'll ever meet. He is very timid around new people, but once you've earned his trust, he makes no secret his goal in life is to be close! He actively seeks affection and gives the best hugs in town. His new family will need to be very patient and encouraging with him. We promise you he's worth the wait. Once you're in, you're in for life!😍
Beck had an outing to one of our volunteers homes and he loved every second of it! It took him all of five minutes to find the toy bin and he helped himself to every single toy in there. 🙂Tough toys are best our playful pup and he is always up for a game of fetch! They were able to take toys/food away with no issue. Beck does excellent with other dogs 🐶 and has a vocal playstyle. If you're looking for a pal for your family fur baby, Beck is your boy!
Excited to follow his nose and explore new surroundings, Beck does well on leash. This lovable pup appears to be house-trained as well. As he is still a young man, Beck will benefit from continued training as he grows. His new family will need to keep him active and engaged and a fenced-in yard for him to enjoy is a must for his handsome boy! Training will be an excellent way to form a lifelong bond. Though he does need some work on his manners, Beck responds very well to correction.👍🏻
When it comes time to eat, Beck appears to be a grazer. He takes his treats gently and Nudges are one of his favorites! He gets his evening zoomies and then is ready to relax for the night. When it comes time to travel, Beck does well in the car 🚙 and will lay his head in your lap during the ride, though he does need some help getting situated in the car.

This gorgeous 65-pound lab mix is three years old and has waited long enough for a family to call her own. One look into those endearing eyes and we hope you fall for her just like the rest of us have.
Pinky recently had a week-long STRAYCATION and she didn't disappoint! This girl was the BEST houseguest and will make one lucky family very happy! Here's what we learned!⬇️⬇️⬇️
Not just a pretty face, Pinky is a very smart, capable girl. She knows her basic commands and will gladly show them off for a tasty treat which she takes gently. She enjoys her soft, chewy treats and is also a fan of chicken! Her foster mom was able to take toys away with no issue.
➡️ 🎉She is also house-trained and crate trained!🎉
Before coming to GLDR, she was in a foster home with other dogs and did well with them, though we are told she may like to chase cats so better to avoid those in her new home. She did visit with another pup during her straycation and did great!
This girl loves to LOVE! Though she can be a little hesitant when she first meets you, she actively asks for affection and will never turn down a belly rub. She'll even nudge your hand for some petting and is a very tolerant girl! Building a lifelong bond with her will be something that will bring you joy for years to come.
When it comes to toys, the squeakier the better, though she doesn't limit her playtime to just one type of toy. She will need some durable toys and loves to toss them around while she plays. She does have a rougher play style and will thrive with daily exercise and mental stimulation. Our girl loves hanging outside and a fenced in yard for her to enjoy is a must for our precious Pinky. 💕She does need an experienced handler on leash and we think with consistent training, she will continue to improve.

Some of our volunteers took Beck on an outing and absolutely raved about him. He's good on a leash, though he does stop often to ask for hugs. Beck does excellent with other dogs and wasn't bothered by passing bikes. He loves to meet new people and also enjoys the water! After a nice three mile walk, they ended their outing with a delicious ice cream which Beck was more than happy to gobble up. Check out his pics!

🙏🏼BEEN AT GLDR SINCE MARCH-ZERO APPLICATIONS :-( DOING GREAT IN HIS FOSTER HOME!🥺
Athletic and intelligent, Thad is a hunk of a hound dog. At three years old and 70 pounds, he's the perfect balance of low-key loyalty and sniffing sleuth. After sitting in the kennel since March with no interest, Thad is now getting a much-deserved break in a great foster home!
Not only is Thad one handsome fellow, he's a great houseguest! House-trained and crate-trained, he's got it all! Thad is very treat and toy-motivated, though plush toys don't stand a chance against him! Training will be an excellent way to form a lasting bond with Thad. He already knows "sit" and is capable of so much more. He's a rockstar on a leash and would love to join you on a long walk where he can sniff till his heart is content.
Thad currently lives with another pup in the home and does well with her. Thad is protective of his toys, so his new family will need to work with him on trading up for other toys and treats. He's done wonderful learning "drop it" and we are confident he will continue to improve. He's slowly getting used to their cat and we think he may have the potential to live with a feline friend in his new home.
Thad loves his time in the yard and enjoys chatting it up with the other pups in the yard. He keeps himself entertained by tossing the ball around and has the best time! A fenced-in yard for him to enjoy at home would be wonderful for him so he can explore in safety. Thad loves to be outside and will make an excellent walking/hiking buddy for you! He is also great in the car and is ready to join you on your next adventure!
Based on our evaluation, we feel Thad would do well in an active home with adults or families with kids ages 16 and up. He may have the ability to live with other dogs and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.
