Story time:
At a recent pop-up, a client told me she stopped burning candles because they left smoke marks on her ceiling.
Here’s the thing...that shouldn’t happen. And if it is, it usually comes down to two things:
Candle care. If you’re not trimming your wick before each burn, the flame can grow too large, leading to more soot and smoke.
Ingredients. Even if you’re trimming your wick, the candle itself might be to blame. Over 90% of candles—yes, even some labeled “clean”—contain at least one harmful toxin.
At Applewood, our fragrances are free of phthalates, parabens, Prop 65 ingredients, carcinogens, mutagens, reproductive toxins... the list goes on.
✨ Each blend (and its vessel!) is tested at least three times before I ever batch it for you.
Which means: No headaches. No hormone disruptors. And no smoke rings on your ceiling.
