Every once in a while I get an update form my adopted rescues, and I cannot emphasize enough how important this is: for one to see that my babies are indeed living their best lives, and through that getting confirmation that it’s all worth it; not only saving these precious lives but also giving my time and money - I’ve never gotten paid for my rescue work, but actually out a lot of my own money into saving lives. Because money CAN buy happiness for these lost, dumped, neglected and/or abused babies ♥️🍀🧚🏻

Meet: Dolly, Polly & Molly
With 2 dogs out of the house I needed to help more creatures without committing to them long term (worst case), and so I decided to foster some kittens which is typically a fab job. Typically. Because they came with pan-leuk but hadn’t been tested before they handed them over to me. The orange one was really really struggling all week 😢❤️‍🩹

With shelters full in the Inland Empire, more people are abandoning their dogs in remote areas, advocates say. The problem is “past the breaking point,” one rescuer says.

Something for our horse friends
Equine enrichment is the practice of improving a horse's environment with stimuli that support psychological well-being and encourage normal, species-appropriate behavior. It matters because many domestic horses do not get enough opportunity to forage, move, explore, and socialize in natural ways. Enrichment helps reduce boredom and gives horses healthier outlets for their natural motivations. This can improve both mental welfare and day-to-day behavior.

Beach Bums or Best Friends? You Decide! 🐶🏖️

The dogs are currently giving us major side-eye... They’re sitting here in Crestline wondering why on earth they traded a glorious, sunny beach day for a Saturday hangout if no one’s coming to say hi! 🌊🐾
Help us clear their schedule and prove it was worth the trip! Come meet Jiji & friends today in Crestline—we’ll be here until 4:00 PM. Stop by, give some belly rubs, and maybe meet your new best friend before these pups file a official complaint to management! 😂❤️

HI. LOLA HERE. WE NEED TO HAVE A VERY SERIOUS DISCUSSION. 🐾 😞

Apparently I have to start doing my own marketing because the humans have been trying to get me adopted for more than three years and, well…

I’m still here.

So clearly the marketing department is incompetent and everyone is fired. 🔥

Here’s the situation.

I’m Lola. I’m approximately 7 years old, about 55 pounds, and a pit bull with excellent adventure potential. I was rescued from euthanasia in Louisiana after being abused by a shelter worker.

Yes.

A shelter worker.

As a result, I used to be a fear biter. But I have done the work. I have been rehabilitated. I have learned that not every human is terrible, and now I love people, giving kisses, snuggling, going for car rides, exploring, swimming, and generally being wherever my person is.

I am also:

✅ Good with dogs
✅ Good with cats
✅ Good with livestock
✅ Off-leash trained
✅ Loyal to an almost unreasonable degree
✅ Excellent at rodent control
✅ Enthusiastic about water
✅ Available for adventures
✅ Extremely cuddly
✅ Still here after THREE YEARS

I’m basically a fully trained, emotionally complex, 55-pound security system with a built-in kissing feature.

Now, before somebody says:

“Oh, but she has a history…”

YES.

I do.

I was abused. I was scared. I had reasons to react. But I have worked incredibly hard, and I am not the dog I was when I arrived.

I do need an experienced adopter who understands dogs and can be a calm, confident, assertive pack leader. I would probably do best as the only dog or with a compatible male dog. I am not necessarily a match for children, and shrill noises or screaming can trigger me.

But if you are patient, steady, respectful, and willing to let me trust you at my own pace, I will give you everything I have.

I will be your shadow.

I will go on car rides with you.

I will accompany you on adventures.

I will hunt rodents for you.

I will snuggle you.

I will kiss you.

I will look at you like you personally invented safety.

I have been waiting for three years.

THREE.

At this point, I have developed a résumé, references, specialized training, and a completely justified attitude about the hiring process.

So could somebody please stop scrolling and realize that I am not “too much dog”?

I am a very good dog who needs the right person.

Love,
Lola 🐾

P.S. If you can’t adopt me, SHARE ME. Somebody out there has the calm leadership skills, the experience, and the couch space I’ve been waiting for. Please help me find them. ❤️
