In this episode, we are speaking with veterinarian Dr. Kim Boudwin, Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director of Providence Animal Center in Media, Pennsylvania.

We were lucky enough to speak with Dr. Boudwin all about their veterinary services, foster programs, training programs, “sleep-overs,” adoption events, and social media outreach, which I would argue has revolutionized the way PAC finds their dogs and cats homes.

At the same time, they welcome the community in to find their next family member with the promise of programs geared towards the health and success of their new pet.

If you are living in the greater Philadelphia area and are looking to add a new pet to your family, please consider PAC, and can I just say they offer sleep-overs with dogs. I repeat, sleep-overs.

In other news… we need to talk about the truck. 🚐

While we were chatting with Dr. Kim Boudwin about everything happening at , one more thing came up that we can’t stop thinking about: Fido Fixers.

Since 2013, Fido Fixers has been bringing low- or no-cost spay/neuter surgery straight to the communities that need it most. In 2024, Providence Animal Center was chosen to take the wheel and became the new owner of this lifesaving national program.

These aren’t just vans. Each one is a 26-foot, fully equipped surgical clinic on wheels, run by animal welfare professionals and driven to the places where access to vet care is hardest to find. Spay/neuter, vaccines, essential pet care, all pulling up right in your neighborhood.

If you’re in Delaware County, the van visits a new location every week, and PAC also runs FREE vaccine clinics on select Wednesdays. Check out their website to book.

Hats off to the whole PAC team for keeping these wheels turning.
