Sid is an 8 year old, purebred Boxer that came to us because of a pending divorce and move to a new home that doesn’t allow dogs. He’s a very friendly dog that craves human attention and wants a family to love. Sid grew up alongside 3 boys, so we know he’s good with children. His owner told us that he did not have the opportunity to interact often with other dogs but so far he seems to like the dogs at the shelter and wants to play with them. He’s about 60lbs with a reddish brown and white coat and will soon be up to date on vaccines and will be neutered. This is a great opportunity for Boxer lovers to step up and give this sweet dog a loving, new home. Call us at 508-548-7742 to meet Sid.

Check out this incredible new Massachusetts K9 License Plate — designed to honor and support our brave police and military dogs serving and protecting all across the Commonwealth. Even more special, it’s in memory of my friend Sergeant Sean Gannon. It’s beautiful. It’s powerful. And it’s a reminder that Sean will never be forgotten. God bless him.

A huge shout out to Sean’s incredible mother and father—Denise and Patrick. They keep pushing to do the right thing. Even through their grief, they never give up — and they never forget. Their strength inspires us all.

After years of work, the Commonwealth has officially approved the K9 Heroes License Plate. This design was chosen by the community with over 3,500 votes — 80% in favor! The “SG” honors Sean, and the featured breeds represent all our working dogs — German Shepherds, Labs, Malinois, Dutch Shepherds — every one of them is a hero.

We need 3,000 pre-orders to make this plate a reality.

Last week Ramen, a beautiful 3 year old Bernadoodle, was surrendered to us due to a divorce in his family. At 87 lbs, Ramen is a large dog but is surprisingly easy to walk. He loves people, is not reactive to other dogs, has lived with children and has an amazing temperament. Fortunately, he has already had his summer haircut and is enjoying these hot days.
