We’ve been counting down the days for this little guy! We’ve been waiting for him to grow up and be old enough for his Big Boy Training Retreat, and that day has finally arrived!

You’ve already stolen our hearts, and now it’s time to show everyone just how incredible you are. We can’t wait to watch your confidence grow, your skills shine, and your personality blossom over the next few weeks.

Rip is officially home!! For the last 2½ weeks, Rip has been hanging out with us polishing up his obedience and learning how to be the best version of himself. From puppy classes to now, it’s been awesome getting to work with this big guy again. The best part of any training isn’t what happens while they’re with us, it’s what happens when they go home. Rip’s mom and dad now have the tools, structure, and communication to continue building on everything he’s learned. We are super proud of this handsome guy and excited to watch him keep crushing it at home ✨

Some simple confidence-building activities include:

* Walking across different surfaces (gravel, grass, tarps, playground equipment)
* Exploring new environments
* Climbing over safe obstacles
* Learning new skills and tricks
* Food puzzles and enrichment games
* Meeting new people in a positive way
* Exposure to everyday sounds and objects

The key is to let the puppy choose to investigate rather than forcing them into situations they’re unsure about. Every time they successfully navigate something new, they build confidence in themselves.

This little guy came into his Training Retreat with BIG opinions and absolutely ZERO interest in walking on a leash. A week ago, you couldn’t have convinced him to walk nicely to save his own life.

Now?He’s strutting around like he invented leash manners!

We’ll just leave this little gem right here so y’all can see the progress for yourselves. He’s doing it… and making sure everybody knows it.

Our newest recruits reported for duty at FHK9 today and let’s just say… they were ready!

These two officially started puppy classes today and are already working hard toward becoming good citizens… Canine Good Citizens.
