Update for anyone planning on traveling to Mexico with their dog:

Mexico has issued a travel update and will now require all pet dogs and pet birds to have a USDA accredited veterinarian fill out an official Screwworm Inspection Document within five days of arriving to Mexico.

Tick season has arrived!

These are just a few examples of ticks that we have pulled off of dogs during their visits to the clinic. They can range in size from even smaller than pictured all the way up to the large engorged tick.

Ticks aren’t just creepy crawly…they spread disease. We have seen Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, and Ehrlichiosis from ticks. If these are caught early enough they can easily be treated.

Another way to help keep your pet safe is by using preventatives. We offer topical and chewable options. Call us today if your pet needs flea/tick preventative medications!
