So here is the big announcement! We now have a 3rd groomer who is ready to take on new clients! We are so excited to welcome Madisyn to our team!

Hello,
My name is Madisyn Furtado. I am 23 years old and I just moved to Iowa. I have been grooming dogs for around 3 years and I love my job! I am the oldest of 3 children and we just welcomed my nephew into the world. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading books, and watching movies. I look forward to meeting more people in the Iowa community and making new furry friends!

Hello!! It’s been awhile since posting partially due to not having access to my account after what I assume was a hacking incident 😳. Anyway!! As many of you know there is A LOT of construction going on in front of the salon🤪. I know it makes things very inconvenient but I’m happy to say it has not slowed business done one bit! In fact we are so busy I’m unable to take on new clients at this time😭. On a positive note we are in the process of looking to add to our team to help accommodate the overwhelming demand! It breaks my heart to have to turn people and their pets away but there is only so much I and Charlene can handle. So please be patient with us as we venture forward🙏🏻. I’m so honored to be able to help you all with your precious fur babies and by all the love support and recommendations that come every day 🥰🥰! Stay tuned for more updates hopefully soon!💗

Good morning, everyone! Spring is upon us! And with that comes a very busy time for me! I’ve also recently lost my sister to cancer😞 and I was gone for a couple weeks so had to push several appointments back. I also am now having knee surgery. Thankfully that is just a minor outpatient procedure but I will still have to take a few days off and take it easy for a while. Good news is I now have another groomer working with me!! Her name is Charlene Garcia! She is only working 1-2 days a week right now but it has been such a big help! So if I can’t get you in as soon as you want please feel free to reach out to Charlene😊 she is AMAZING! So grateful to all of my clients for making my business, so successful and keeping me so busy!!! Have a blessed day!

The Heart of Iowa Kennel Club will present a very special program on Monday, March 6 at 7:00 PM at the Family Pet Center in Marshalltown. It will be a visit from a Service Dog in Training named Hero and his handler from the Puppy Jake Foundation. The Puppy Jake Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping military veterans through the assistance of well bred, socialized and professionally trained service dogs. They select, train and place their service dogs with brave wounded warriors. Puppy Jake Foundation also provides resources for the advocacy, awareness and acceptability in public for those that require the assistance of a service dog. thanks, Shelley Barron President, HIKC 641-752-2458
