✨ Something is coming to The North Den Studio on River Street for the cold seasons! We will be introducing indoor enrichment and wellness for local dogs.
Michigan’s colder seasons can be hard on both dogs and their owners. For senior dogs, dogs with disabilities, and individuals who have difficulty getting outdoors, those challenges can be even greater.
We’ll be offering individualized enrichment opportunities, including introducing proper treadmill and slat mill sessions, structured play, tailored scent work for seniors and disabled dogs, and activities for each dog’s needs.
Accessibility is important to me. Our River Street studio is wheelchair accessible, and we’re working on transportation assistance for seniors and individuals with disabilities who may have difficulty getting to us.
We’ll also be giving away enrichment packages and offering financial assistance opportunities for families who want to participate but may be facing financial hardship. We understand that cost can be a significant barrier during cold seasons for many, and we’re committed to making these programs as accessible as possible.
Every session will be adapted to the dog’s abilities, with no pressure to participate. We have our DogPacer treadmill, designed specifically for dogs with safety in mind. Each dog will receive a gradual, professionally guided introduction to the equipment, allowing them to build confidence at their own pace.
With veterinary clearance, this is a fantastic option for dogs who need a safe, controlled way to stay active when outdoor exercise becomes difficult.
Every dog deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of age or ability.
We’re excited to bring something new to our community this fall! 🍁
