💔 Our Benny Boy is in critical condition in Traverse City.
The next 24 hours are crucial in seeing if he will recover from this.
The only thing I can say right now is - please, please, please be careful with who is caring for your pets.
🌈 Update: After exhausting every option and doing everything they could for him, Benny’s family has made the heartbreaking decision to let him go peacefully. Thank you so much to everyone who donated and showed up for this deeply loved little dog and the people who love him so much. Please keep our friends at The Groomery in your thoughts and show them some love today.
Our local groomer, who so many of you know and love has been an incredible friend to Repo’s Rescues and to countless families in this community. She grooms our rescue dogs completely free of charge, helps us whenever we need her, and has poured so much of herself into helping animals who aren’t even her own.
Now their sweet little dog, Benny, is in critical condition and they’re rushing to the vet.
Benny had surgery last week and has continued to decline despite multiple trips back for hospital care. Their family has exhausted their funds between his original surgery and the critical care he has needed since. This morning, they woke up to Benny essentially lifeless, and they are rushing him back to a different vet now.
He is currently in acute kidney failure and needs every chance possible.
Benny is such a loved, sweet little dog, and his people are the kind of people who are constantly helping everyone else’s animals. Right now, it’s our turn to help theirs.
If you are able to donate anything at all toward Benny’s emergency veterinary care, we would be incredibly grateful. Every dollar collected through Repo’s Rescues for Benny will be donated directly to his family for his care.
