January is so busy with drawing and redrawing our maze map. We learned all about dinosaurs and decided that the Triceratops will be our 2026 mascot. All of our advertisements were confirmed and we finalized our special projects for the year.

We have had a request for more farm life insider views. While we aren’t “farming” every month there is a lot to do year round. In December, we purchase pumpkin seeds and start narrowing down potential maze themes. It’s hard to choose from all the pumpkin varieties and each family member has a vote in our theme selection.

Today is National Agriculture Day 🚜

Farming isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. It’s early mornings before the sun rises, long days in the fields, and late nights planning for what comes next. It’s weather you can’t control, risks you take anyway, and a deep faith that what you plant today will grow tomorrow. 🎃🌽

At Sherman’s Pumpkin Farm, we get to experience the joyful side of agriculture, seeing families laugh, kids play in the leaf pile, and traditions come to life. But behind every moment of joy is a whole lot of work, sacrifice, and care that most people never see.

Today we celebrate all farmers. The ones raising crops, caring for livestock, and feeding communities across our country. Your work matters!

And for those who may not be on a farm every day, today is a good reminder to pause and appreciate where your food comes from and the hands that made it possible. Thank a farmer today! 🧑‍🌾
