If you’ve been following All 4 Paws for a while, you might recognize this sweet face.
Yes, it’s the same Hershel, and he’s been in our care for quite some time. This special senior boy came to us with a laundry list of medical needs, and after lots of love, TLC, and several surgeries, he’s finally ready to find his forever home!
Hershel is a happy, easygoing guy with plenty of s***k and SO much love to give. He LOVES stuffed animals, enjoys playing with toys, and never says no to a good back or butt scratch. He’s a fan of cozy beds, soft blankets, leisurely walks, tasty treats (even if his tummy doesn’t always agree!), and spending time with his favorite people. He’d also enjoy a canine companion, especially a female dog, and doesn’t mind cats.
Hershel is deaf and mostly blind, so routine and a calm, predictable environment help him feel safe. He’ll need a fenced yard to explore and potty safely, a home with someone around to help with frequent potty breaks and four small meals a day, and a family who understands that occasional accidents can happen. He’s housebroken, but age and medical needs sometimes have other plans.
Hershel has IBS, a thyroid condition, high blood pressure, and an eye that requires daily drops. He takes daily medications but is a very good boy about it! We know there’s someone out there with room in their heart for a senior gentleman who needs a little extra attention. Hershel has so much personality, and endless love to share. All our dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.
All 4 Paws is a non-profit, all-breed, no-kill animal rescue based in Malvern, PA. As a foster-based organization, we do not have a kennel facility you can visit. All adoptions must take place at our office in Malvern, PA so adopters living outside of our area should be prepared to travel.
