🤦‍♀️Heaven help us. Persons with absolutely no knowledge of infectious diseases and epidemiology should not be making policy, let alone be in charge of a nation's institutions concerning managing the various dangerous (and constantly changing / mutating) pathogens shared by animals and humans. This is no smarter than giving a toddler the keys to a very large automobile. He might think he knows what he is doing, but it will still end badly for many. A couple of people have asked me how old a cow can live to be... I told them I wasn't sure because if you are a beef cow you are dead before you are two years old. If you are a dairy cow, you have maybe 5-6 years providing you are female, and successfully bred, and capable of producing huge quantities of milk 10 months out of a year. As for male dairy calves, they don't make it to 5 months (veal). Here are some other stats.
