Sweet Honey came in for her spay recently, and she stole everyone's heart!!
After waking up from surgery, Honey wasn't interested in resting alone—she wanted to be right by her technician, Torie. Whether she was supervising paperwork, asking for cuddles, or simply keeping Torie company, Honey made it clear she was the sweetest little recovery buddy.
Spays are an important part of keeping our pets healthy.

🦈 Shark Week has officially made it's way to the clinic!

This handsome little land shark came dressed for the occasion in his adorable shark bow tie. Huckleberry promises he's mostly harmless.

Those puppy teeth may be sharp, but they're no match for this sweet face! Be sure to keep your own little land sharks stocked with appropriate chew toys and plenty of patience while they navigate the teething stage.

Fireworks may be fun for us, but they can be frightening for our pets.

With the Fourth of July just around the corner, now is the time to prepare if your dog experiences anxiety during fireworks. Don't wait until the last minute—many calming medications and anxiety treatments require a prescription and may need to be started before the holiday.

Last week, Dr. Salazar, one of our board-certified anesthesiologists at GCVS Houston, stopped by Vetco Total Care River Oaks to chat with their team about anesthesia monitoring. From tracking vital signs to recognizing subtle changes in a patient's condition, anesthesia monitoring plays a critical role in helping keep pets safe throughout procedures.

Thank you to the Vetco Total Care River Oaks team for having us! We always enjoy spending time with fellow veterinary professionals who are dedicated to learning, growing, and providing exceptional care for their patients.
