It's almost National Shelter Appreciation Week!

Every day next week we are going to highlight an item that our shelter needs to help our cats...if you want to celebrate National Shelter Week with us, please consider buying an item off of our wishlist! These wishlists are preset with our shipping address, so it's so easy to donate supplies!

Follow our Instagram and pages this week to see what supplies we need and consider celebrating us by donating.

🎃THIS WEEKEND ONLY🎃

Buy one kitten and get a second one FREE!

MCP always highly recommends adopting kittens in pairs. They are extremely high energy, and having a kitten playmate keeps them from getting into trouble in their new home. It is also important for kittens to grow up with another cat so that they can learn how to play safely, and it prevents them from waking you up to play in the middle of the night!

If you adopt two kittens from the same litter, they'll have a built-in playmate right away - no slow introductions necessary! More kittens = less work.

Come to our open hours TONIGHT (Thursday) from 4:30-6:30 and/or Saturday 11-3 to meet some of our many litters and adopt two for the price of one!

Did you know we have a cat rehoming page on our website?

If someone in the community is looking to rehome their cat, they can reach out to us so that we can try and help them find a new safe place for their pet without having to surrender it to a shelter.

These cats are NOT adopted through Madison Cat Project and are not at our shelter. If you are interested in meeting one, contact us ([email protected]) so we can connect you to the cat's owner.

Please note that the animals in these listings have not been assessed medically or behaviorally by Madison Cat Project. If you are considering bringing a new pet into your home, we strongly encourage you to request vet records and the animal’s full behavior history from the previous owner.

👻THANK YOU🎃

Wow, we are in shock! Last weekend's Meowloween Walk was a MASSIVE success. So many people showed up to show their support and walk for cats; we raised almost $8,000!

Thousands of pieces of candy later, we have a lot of people and cats that are so grateful for this community and your dedication to our mission ❤ We couldn't do what we do without you.

An extra big thank you to our sponsors: Madison Veterinary Services, VEG ER, Lakeview Veterinary Clinic, UPS, Costco, Mallards/Nightmares, and Ian's Pizza, as well as all of our incredible MCP volunteers who donated time and candy to the cause.

Check back in next fall for Meowloween pt. 2!

Last Black Cat of the month!

Lindo is a beautiful young boy, about four months old. If you came to our Meowloween walk on Saturday you may have met him and his brother, Guapo! They were great sports and happy to be out in nature playing with lots of new friends.

He is adoptable RIGHT NOW, so come meet him at one of our open hours or apply online.

Meowloween is TOMORROW!

Don your costumes and get ready for candy! It's not too late to sign up... registration closes TONIGHT at 11:55pm. Be there to avoid the FOMO and have an absolute blast while raising money for cats.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU to our Meowloween sponsors!

It is because of them that we can run this exciting event and continue working towards our mission of saving and supporting cats in the Madison area.

Lakeview Veterinary Clinic's mission is "to make a positive difference in the lives of pets, their people, and our community by providing, with compassion and respect, the highest quality medical and surgical care to our patients, while offering the best possible service to our clients."

Black Cat Appreciation Month is almost over 😢

But don't worry - we celebrate cats like Ghost EVERY month, not just in October. Ghost is two, and an absolute sweetheart. So far in our shelter she has enjoyed the quiet life, hanging out with one of her cat friends, and enjoying pets from her human visitors.

You can meet Ghost tomorrow during our open hours, 4:30-6:30! You can also fill out an application online to schedule an alternative time.
