EMERGENCY!!! WE NEED A FOSTER HERO FOR BRADY & MINKA NOW!! SHARE WITH EVERYONE IN SE WI THAT YOU KNOW!
It's 2 weeks today that we have been pleading for a new foster home for Brady & Minka (they did nothing wrong - they landed somewhere they aren't wanted with someones that don't want to care for them) and despite so many shares and views of their need, we have ZERO foster applications leading to their placement. We have to get them out of where they are immediately. We need an angel who has what they need to care for them and help them. If you think, "someone else will help." Guess what? They're thinking the same thing and no one has come forward to help them. This can't go on any longer. Do the best thing you will ever do with your life - help others.
Our earthly efforts have not been working so well. We need to lean in more heavily to a higher power. Yes, we need your shares. We need tags of PEOPLE (they need a foster parent - foster parents are people) in the comments. But we also need your prayers. How apropos its Sunday. Maybe you pray everyday, or maybe just on Sundays. Either way, we need you now. John 14:13-14 says, "Whatever you ask in My name I will do that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." So sovereign God, here we are humbly at your feet. You carried Minka and Brady through a horrific past and they urgently need an amazing foster home right now that has what they need that will love, care for, and appreciate the treasures they are. Clear a path for their person that they've been waiting their whole lives for to find their need here. Send us the most phenomenal human(s) in SE WI for them right away. In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus. Amen. Pray that prayer for them, or pray your own and drop it in the comments because "For where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I in the midst of them." Let's let Him hear our petition for these deserving kitties.
Smart, funny, playful, affectionate, gorgeous, loving lap cats. Brother and sister 11 year old Siameses that have very different personalities, but complement each other purrfectly.
That's Brady on the left. He loves a good cat bed, but loves relaxing with you more (he's going to be sleeping with you on your pillow at night - FYI!). You're eyes are not deceiving you, his eyes are crossed which is common with the Siamese gene. We think it reflects his gentle and charming demeanor. One of Brady's favorite past times is playing soccer with his little sparkle balls and kicking his little catnip toys.
That's Minka on the right. Never has there been a cat whose eyes spoke their personality as her. She's got wild-child eyes and she's always up to something. Very curious, very inquisitive, very bold. Girl has personality for days! She prefers interactive play with you with her favorite wand toys like Da'Bird.
Each other's company has been the one constant these two have had their entire lives. They look to each other for comfort, confidence, and cuddles. They run and chase each other through the length of the home. But when its time for attention from their human, its every Siamese for themself! If one is getting petting, the other will appear (sometimes out of nowhere) and demand it for their own. They may even butt the other sibling out of the way to get what they feel is rightfully theirs! They adore spending time with their person after work for some TV time on the couch. They are both lap cats - so if there is only one lap in the home, that's fine - next time, the one that missed out may be quicker to claim it, but in the meantime, they will have to be touching you somehow just to feel you close and know you're there.
Brady & Minka have come such a long way since we rescued them from a terrible situation and have blossomed - but its because we chose for them an environment conducive for them to thrive. We will be seeking the same (only with someone who knows how truly blessed they would be to share their heart and home with such wonderful beings). Their history has left them sensitive and cautious - but not if they have what they need to feel safe and secure.
Brady and Minka are in need of a peaceful, calm, and quiet home that is preferably adult-only (though an older/late-highschool age teen in the home may be okay if they embody the same tranquil vibe as the rest of the home) with an individual or couple who enjoy a peaceful homelife. They hate loud noises, a lot of people in their home, and chaos of any kind. Brady & Minka need to be the only animals in the home. Like all of our foster homes, theirs must be located in the counties of Waukesha, Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, or Ozaukee.
