The Lynchburg Vet Team is back in town and ready to get back to reality Monday morning! We had a great weekend at the Emerald Coast Veterinary Conference in Sandestin, FL and are excited to roll out the new PetsApp in the next few weeks!

Lynchburg Vet is implementing an exciting new communication app for our pet-people! (No...its not a pet dating app! ) :)
As we add this feature to our system today (Friday 5/29), the clinic will be closed and we will be unable to answer the phone from about 11am until about 12:30.
Outside of that time period, the doors will be open if you need to pick up medications, food or supplies for your pets. The entire crew will be back Monday, and we'll roll out the new PetsApp!

Most of the Lynchburg Vet team is attending a veterinary conference starting Thursday. We will be open Weds May 27 8:00-noon, and Dr. Morton will be available, then we are heading out to learn how to better care for your pets and their families! There will be no doctors available for emergencies starting at noon on Weds May 27 until Sunday night May 31. We will still be grooming pets, answering the phone to make appointments, answering emails, and be able to refill most medications and food. We will not be able to see any pets in the vet hospital for any reason, though. We apologize for the brief inconvenience. It's been a while since we all attended a meeting together and we are looking forward to it! We'll be back in the clinic Monday June 1!

1: Dumping pets is cruel, illegal and irresponsible
2: This sweet Momma cat and 5 lovely kittens were cruelly, illegally and irresponsibly dumped near the property of one of our team members in Fayetteville. We would love to help find them good homes.
We would also love any information on who did this!

Keep your eyes open for this black dog near town!

Everyone, we just received a call about a black lab type dog that has been seen out by the local nursing home and school area. The dog is reportedly limping and extremely emaciated. We immediately went out looking, but unfortunately we have not been able to locate the dog at this time. We believe it may be hiding.
If anyone sees this dog, knows who it belongs to, or is able to safely catch it, please give us a call immediately. We are currently closed to intakes due to being overwhelmed, but we are not going to allow an emaciated dog to starve to death. We will work together to come up with a safe plan to either get this baby back home or into our care.
Please do not just bring the dog to us without calling first so we can prepare and make proper arrangements.
Let’s all work together and help this baby get the care it needs. Thank you all for always being the eyes and ears for these animals in our community

Roads in Lynchburg are a mess this morning! Lots of back-ups....Some of our team haven't even made it all the way to the vet hospital yet! If you've got an appointment today, we understand if you are late!
