The Lowdown on Jonas
Looking for a perfect blend of puppy energy and couch-potato cuddles? Meet Jonas! At just under a year old, this handsome medium-sized boy is ready to find his forever family. Jonas is a total sweetheart who loves nothing more than leaning in for pets, curling up for a good cuddle session, and showing off how clever he is.
His Perfect Match
Jonas is an active boy who loves to burn off his puppy energy outdoors. Because of his love for a good zoomie session, a home with a securely fenced yard is required so he can safely romp and play to his heart's content.
Social Life
With Dogs: Jonas absolutely loves other dogs! However, first impressions can be a little scary for him. He might be a bit barky or intimidated when he first meets a new pup, but don't let that fool you—he warms up incredibly fast and turns into a great playmate.
With Cats: Jonas can coexist peacefully with feline friends, provided they are "dog-savvy" cats who won't be bothered by a curious puppy.

Penny is 4.5 years old, about 25 lbs, is the sweetest little lady and is incredibly well behaved 🩷 She has a beagle nose so she would be best suited for a home with a fenced yard - but the beagle belly? It must’ve missed this girl! She likes a good treat but she’s not going to tear your house apart looking for one, and she definitely doesn’t overeat (iykyk…. It’s a rarity in the beagle world 😅).

Penny was originally adopted as a baby 4 years ago, she recently came back into rescue due to no fault of her own. Check out her adorable baby pics we included. 🥹

Meet Abby – Professional Squeaky Ball Enthusiast 💛

At 6 years old, Abby the 15lb, Chihuahua mix was adopted from Mispits over five years ago and was deeply cherished by her mom. This past year or so, however, brought a lot of change and uncertainty. As her owner’s health declined, Abby experienced a rotating door of home health workers and temporary stays with friends. After her mom sadly passed away on Easter, Abby has found herself starting over.

Abby will need a patient home that will let her move at her own pace. Trust is something she gives thoughtfully—but once you earn it, you’ll have a loyal little companion by your side.

And when Abby’s comfortable? That’s when the fun begins.

She loves neighborhood walks, never says no to a treat, and is wildly devoted to squeaky balls. We’re pretty sure she would trade state secrets for one without hesitation. She also has excellent house manners—Abby sleeps quietly in her dog bed at night, is perfectly content sitting beside you on the couch (not a clingy lap dog), and will happily soak up all the butt scratches you’re willing to give.

Abby’s highlights:

✔️ Housetrained (and knows how to use potty pads, too)

✔️ Excellent house manners

✔️ Sleeps quietly in her own bed at night

Bennie: 9 lbs of Pure Joy! 💙
Bennie is a 3-year-old "professional shadow" looking for a home where he can be by your side. Whether it's a belly rub session or a walk (where he’s always in a bit of a hurry!), Bennie brings the fun.
He is a little scared by sudden movements and loud noises. He will need a patient home with no small children.
• The Perks: Dog-friendly, potty trained with a good routine, and the ultimate greeting committee.
• The Pro-Tip: He’s a tiny escape artist! He needs a secure fence and a watchful eye.
• Maintenance: Needs a spa day (grooming) every 6 weeks to keep his coat looking sharp.

Journey says “Stop scrolling 🐾” Take a moment to absorb how freakin’ CUTE he is. 😍😍😍

This gorgeous brindle boy is 12 weeks old, a beautifully mixed hound dog, and expected to be medium to large full grown! (Sibling DNA pictured!)

While Journey has energy like any puppy, he is one of the more laid back guys in the litter and enjoys a good snuggle sesh after romping in the yard. 🥹 He has done fantastic in his foster home with doggy and kitty siblings and is working hard on crate and house training!

He’s neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and ready for his forever home! If he sounds like the perfect match for you, Apply at mispitsandfriends.org!
