I was visited by a truly unique guest today. Initially, I felt a sense of trepidation, worrying that it might hit the wall or tire easily. It flitted about and came to rest on the chandelier. Despite opening the French doors a short distance away and closing all the curtains, the visitor declined to leave. I remained seated and still on the couch, allowing us to observe each other for over an hour while I took in its radiant colors. Periodically, it would dart off, making its distinctive hummingbird sound, only to return to the same fixture. Later, I sat outside with a red towel and watched as it flew by, casting a glance in my direction before disappearing into the distance. This encounter on Mother's Day was particularly meaningful, and I sense that it was meant to bring me serenity.

Saving lives is what creates a meaningful impact. This little one has been given a second chance. Left outside by her family, she suffered from severe mange and hair loss. The vet who treated her contacted us to take her in, refusing to consider euthanasia. Sadly, such situations happen every day. Animals are voiceless worldwide, making it imperative for us to help as much as we can.

Launching our expedition for wildlife lovers and wine enthusiasts at Vakantiebeurs, The Jaarbeurs, Utrecht Holland from 7-11 January 2026.

South Africa is rich with wildlife and world renowned wines. We will donate some of the proceeds of this expedition to rhino conservation via our non-profit organisation - Ecolife Africa Trust.

This expedition was born from a participant on one of our ProfVet expeditions Sherri Stankewitz from California who wanted to return to South Africa 🦏🍷

Parvo pup...saving lives changes lives. I am committed to providing expert support on the 24-hour Parvo hotline, accessible from any location worldwide, and can be reached directly at my phone number. This puppy was purchased in a parking lot at just six weeks old, infected with Parvo. Unfortunately, the family could not afford treatment, but they wanted to give him a chance and they contacted The Fix Parvo ICU. We receive daily calls regarding Parvo and are always available to provide assistance and give any dog a chance.

What a fabulous show.. Fetch DVM 360.
We had the opportunity to meet potential Veterinarians and Techs to join our mission. We also raised awareness about our Parvo ICU and was congratulated by all our hard work.
Furthermore, we managed the puppy snuggle booth and found three fabulous homes for some of our Parvo survivors all went home with great families that our Veterinarians.
All in a great 2 days for the Hospital and our hearts.
