Glow sticks may be fun for Halloween, but they can be unpleasant for pets who bite into them!

The liquid inside is generally not considered toxic, but it can cause a strong bitter taste, excessive drooling, foaming, and mouth irritation. If your pet chews on a glow stick or glow jewelry, rinse their mouth with water and monitor them closely. 🐾

If symptoms persist or you’re concerned, contact our team for guidance.

This National Cat Day, we're celebrating our feline companions by highlighting something just as important as belly rubs and treats: their health. 🐾

Cats are naturally skilled at masking discomfort, which means common conditions like kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, dental disease, and diabetes can develop gradually and go unnoticed.

Being aware of a few key signs, changes in thirst, appetite, weight, or energy, can make a meaningful difference in catching these conditions early, when they're most manageable.

Routine wellness visits remain one of the best ways to stay ahead of your cat's health, even when everything seems fine on the surface.

This National Cat Day, consider giving your cat the gift of preventive care. If you have questions or it's time for a checkup, we're here to help.

Joint health starts long before the senior years. 🐕 Help protect your dog’s mobility by keeping them at a healthy weight, providing regular low-impact exercise like walking or swimming, and avoiding sudden increases in strenuous activity. Keep nails trimmed and provide good traction at home to reduce unnecessary strain on joints. Our team can also recommend joint supplements or other preventive options based on your dog’s age, breed, and lifestyle. 🐾

💕This week, we celebrated the hardworking RVTs who are truly the backbone of veterinary medicine! From anesthesia and surgery to dentistry, lab work, patient care, client education, and everything in between, RVTs wear countless hats to keep a veterinary practice running smoothly.

We are nurses, anesthetists, dental hygienists, phlebotomists, radiology technicians, patient advocates, and so much more. We comfort scared patients, celebrate the happy moments, and provide compassion during the hardest goodbyes.

So much of what we do happens behind the scenes, but the dedication, knowledge, and heart we bring to this profession make a difference every single day.

Here’s to Erin, Tessa, and Tara who give their all to their patients, clients, and veterinary team. You are appreciated more than you know! ❤️🐶🐱🐾

Think you know your feline facts? 🐱🧐

Two of these are true, but one is a lie. Did you guess it right?

🥁 The lie is… cats have more taste buds than dogs!

Cats actually have far fewer taste buds than dogs, and unlike dogs and humans, they can’t taste sweetness.

How’d you do? Tell us in the comments! 👇

An annual exam is more than just a checkup. 🐶

During your dog’s wellness visit, our team may assess weight, heart and lung health, teeth and gums, joints and mobility, and recommend bloodwork based on age and risk factors. This National Pet Wellness Month, schedule an exam to support early detection and lifelong preventive care.

💙 Ask any of our veterinarians, and you will hear the same thing. The care a patient receives depends just as much on the technician standing beside them.

Help us celebrate the people who make quality veterinary care possible this week. 🎉 🐾

Cozy season has arrived, and cats know exactly how to make the most of it. 🐱🧡 Whether it’s curling up in a favorite blanket, snuggling into a sweater, or finding the warmest spot in the house, we love seeing how cats stay comfortable during cooler days. Share your cat’s coziest moments with us and celebrate the little things that make them happiest. ✨

Turn dinner into playtime! 🐈 Puzzle feeders and food games encourage natural hunting behaviors, slow down fast eaters, and help indoor cats stay active. A simple change can make mealtime healthier and more fun.

Cooler weather doesn't mean fleas, ticks, and heartworm are gone! As the seasons change, many pets are still at risk, making year-round prevention just as important in the fall as it is in the summer. Staying on schedule with flea, tick, and heartworm prevention helps keep your pet protected no matter the season. Have questions? We're happy to help! ❤️🐾
