Oh my would you look at these adoptable faces?!?! ♥️🐾✨

We have some of the most beautiful, fun and happy pups at Stafford Animal Shelter right now.

Morgan - the gorgeous blonde shepherd mix puppy 😍

Zoey - the model husky mix puppy 🥰

Bert - the black and white cattle dog puppy 😍

Kip - the 2 year old brindle mix breed white hospital dog walkers said was “the best dog they ever walked!” 🥰

Dom - the little guy with a huge heart and cuddle bug. 😘

If you missed the update on our last post about Chey, Chey is available for adoption but she will be staying in her foster home this weekend. If you'd like to meet this sweet gal, please call our Animal Care Team to schedule an appointment.

She may not be on site for walk-in adoptions, but she's well worth the extra step of calling for an appointment. Sweet Chey is truly one of a kind.

Cali has spent the last 12 days in foster, and this 11-year-old gal has really come out of her shell. Cali's foster mom says "Cali's gentle and loving nature would be a special feline addition to someone who wants a lovable companion."

Here's what else her foster mom has to say about her:

"She is very gentle and lovable. Cali likes head and chin rubs and full body brushing. Cali also likes being petted between her two front legs and when very relaxed, having her belly rubbed. While in a foster home she was calm and seemed unaffected by twice having her claws trimmed or clipped. Cali is okay with being held or sitting on a lap for a few minutes but she most enjoys sitting and rubbing up right next to one's lap or legs or arms. As this paragraph is being written Cali is rubbing and pushing up against the writing arm (she is a very sweet gal!). Cali is very mobile, runs/trots around the house and easily jumps up and down from window locations where she likes to sit and watch outside activity. Cali's fur is very soft and since being in the home with regular brushing and self-cleaning, her fur smells fresh and clean...picking her up is like holding a teddy bear. "

UPDATE: It's still Chey time, but she will no longer be on site this Friday. Chey will remain in foster care so please call to make an appointment if you'd like to meet her!

If you've been following this sweet girl's story over the past few weeks, then you are probably just as excited as we are that Chey is now available for adoption.

For folks who are just tuning in, let us introduce you to Chey (short for Cheyenne). Chey came to us from the Northern Cheyenne Reservation with a leg injury that was beyond repair. The damage was so severe that our medical team determined amputation would give her the best chance at a full and healthy life.

It's been two weeks since the surgery, and Chey is showing everyone that her new full and healthy life has already begun. Her foster families have described Chey as cuddly and snuggly. She loves to nuzzle into someone's neck or roll over for belly rubs (as long as they avoid her scar). She is learning to walk on a leash and is getting around really well. She hasn't had any accidents in her recent foster's home, and she has been very playful with the foster's senior dog. Chey loves eye contact, praise, treats, and you!

If you'd like to meet Chey, she will be at the shelter this Friday, August 22 from 12pm to 5pm. Please share this post with folks you know. Let's come together to find this gal an incredible home. She deserves it.

Are you ready to see two of the cutest puppies on the planet???? ♥️🐾♥️🐾

Meet Bear and Traveller! These two spayed female puppies are healthy, happy, ready to find their new homes, and onsite at Stafford Animal Shelter.

We are open Wednesday through Sunday from 12pm to 5pm for visits and adoptions. These two sweethearts won’t last long so c’mon down to Stafford Animal Shelter to get your dose of cuteness and puppy breath from Bear and Traveller!

UPDATE: Misty’s adoption fee has been covered! Come see this sweet girl!

Misty Misty Misty.... what a gorgeous bundle of joy this girl is! Misty is our longest stay kitty as she waits for her new furever home. ♥️🐈‍⬛✨

Misty is a 7-year-old spayed female who weighs in at around 12lbs. Misty would make a great indoor/outdoor kitty. She loves going out into our kitty enclosure and watching the butterflies and clouds float by. Misty loves to sit on your lap and is very self-sufficient. Misty is her own girl and would do well in a home where she could go inside and outside. Misty will come find you when she's ready to give and receive some attention, and then she's happy to go nap in the afternoon sunlight. Misty is a very low maintenance kitty.

If you're looking for a new, furry BFF — Misty could be your gal. She's healthy and ready to find her new home. Please help Misty find an adopter and let's get her off of our longest stay list. Misty needs your help. Please spread the word and share. 🙏🏼🐾🐾

Boots is ready to two-step her way into your heart. Are you ready to get lost in her pretty green eyes?

You may notice when she's dancing that her tail looks a little different. Boots was abandoned at our doorstep a few weeks ago. Not only did she have an upper respirtory infection, but her tail was kinked, sensitive to touch, and underdeveloped. After our vet team examined her, they determined that tail amputation was in her best interest. And look at her now! The only thing that would make this sweet girl any happier is if you took her home with you.

Boots is now available for adoption! Swing by Stafford Animal Shelter this weekend to meet her. We're open from 12pm to 5pm, Wednesday through Sunday.
