🐱💗Mrs. Kitty visited us after ingesting carprofen, a medication commonly prescribed for dogs. Some medications that are safe for one species can be dangerous for another, which is why it’s important to keep all medications safely stored and out of reach of curious pets!

We’re happy Mrs. Kitty’s family brought her in to be evaluated. ❤️ Our team is here to help when the unexpected happens, because your pet can’t wait to feel better! 🩺🐾

When Elmer the Beagle got his paws on some raw chocolate chip dough, things quickly took a turn! 🐶🍪

His pet parents brought him to UrgentVet Carytown, where the team acted quickly to help. With medication to induce vomiting, they discovered Elmer had eaten a whopping 2.4 pounds of dough! 🍞

Raw bread dough can be dangerous for pets because the yeast continues to ferment in their stomach, producing alcohol that can lead to toxicity. Add chocolate to the mix, and it's important to seek veterinary care right away.

Thankfully, Elmer got the care he needed!

When your pet runs into a bit of "Ruff Timing", UrgentVet is here to help. 🐾
