We are so honored! 💙🐾
Our friends at KCPD K-9 surprised Dr. Lori with this adorable display featuring replicas of their hardworking K-9s!

Their handlers shared the sweetest message about her dedication, care, and support for their amazing pups — and we couldn’t be more proud.

Thank you to the K-9 unit for this thoughtful gift, and a huge shoutout to Dr. Lori for always going above and beyond for every patient, two-legged or four-legged. 💛🐶
We’re grateful for the partnership and the trust you place in us!

The K-9 handlers presented this super cute display with replicas of our K-9s to Dr. Lori from Veterinary Center of Liberty. She provides amazing care to our pups, very devoted and available whenever needed, and a wonderful supporter of our organization. Thank you Dr. Lori!! You’re the best!

🐾💜 Meet Phineas — our glowing little superstar! 💜🐾

This 9-week-old cutie came in last week, and with the help of a Woods lamp (a special black light), the ringworm spots on his face lit up instantly. The bright green fluorescence gave us a clear, textbook view of what ringworm looks like on kittens under this special light.

✨ A few things to know about ringworm:
• Despite the name, ringworm isn’t actually a worm — it’s a fungal infection of the skin.
• It’s common in young kittens, especially those coming from shelters or outdoor environments.
• It can be contagious to other pets AND people, but don’t worry — with proper treatment and hygiene, it’s very manageable.
• Early diagnosis with tools like a Woods lamp helps us start treatment quickly and keep everyone safe.

Phineas is already starting his care plan and getting lots of love. 💕 With a little time (and maybe a few more glowing glamour shots), he’ll be feeling much better.

Send this brave baby boy some healing vibes! 💙🐱✨

Dr. Lori, Sofia RVT, and Damien RVT recently returned from Guatemala, where they volunteered with World Vets on an incredible spay/neuter campaign!
Alongside a dedicated team of DVMs, RVTs, and volunteers, they helped perform 381 spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats in the small communities surrounding Antigua.

The local families were so grateful for the compassionate care their pets received. In addition to surgery, pets were also provided rabies vaccines, dewormers, and flea & tick prevention, thanks to the wonderful local rescue group Antigua Street Dogs, who partnered with World Vets for this mission.
We are so proud of our team for giving their time and skills to support animal health and welfare around the world. ❤️🌎🐾

The Veterinary Center of Liberty recently raised funds to help cover Sofia’s travel expenses to Guatemala, where she will be volunteering with World Vets. Many of our wonderful clients supported this effort, and we are so grateful for your generosity.

This mission is especially meaningful because Guatemala is the country where Sofia was adopted as a baby — making this journey a full-circle experience for her. Sofia wanted to express her deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed and helped make this opportunity possible.

“I just returned from the most incredible trip to Antigua, Guatemala, where I volunteered with World Vets — and I’m still processing what an amazing experience it was.
I’m so grateful to have worked alongside such an inspiring group of people, including Dr. Lori, who has supported me since the very beginning of my career. The memories, teamwork, and compassion I witnessed are something I’ll carry with me forever.
I also want to give a huge thank you to everyone who supported me. And to everyone who donated, whether you’re a friend, family, or someone I’ve never even met; thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your generosity truly made this possible.” -Sofia

Meet Gus — our very own glazed & confused pup of the day! 🍩💙
He strutted into the clinic sporting his donut-designed inflatable e-collar, and honestly… we’ve never seen anyone make medical gear look this deliciously adorable.

Gus is rocking his donut to help keep him from bothering some pesky hot spots on his rear end. Hot spots (also called acute moist dermatitis) are irritated, inflamed patches of skin that can pop up quickly and become painful for pets. They’re often caused by allergies, moisture trapped in the coat, bug bites, or a good ol’ scratch-and-lick cycle. Treatment usually includes keeping the area clean, dry, and — just like Gus — protected from curious teeth and tongues!

So if your pet ever develops a sudden red, oozy, or itchy patch, don’t wait — let us take a look. A little TLC (and maybe a donut collar makeover) can get them feeling sweet again in no time. ❤️🐶🍩
