Critical Incident Response Team K9 Lola has been visiting the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office as they continue to mourn the loss of their Deputy Elijah Ming, who was killed in the line of duty Saturday. Lola is trained to provide comfort and support to those in traumatic or stressful circumstances. Please keep Deputy Ming's loved ones and coworkers in your thoughts.

You may have noticed we have a couple new faces in the office, so we want to take a moment to introduce you! Our first feature is Jessica, who works the front desk! 😁
Jessica has worked at Crossroads for just a couple months but has been in the vet field for about 2 years :) She has 2 human kids (Aleigha- 14 and Austin- 13) and 4 furkids (Nala - Goldendoodle, Buddy & Thumper - Chiweenies, and Dallas - Pitbull)! In her spare time, Jessica likes to bake 🍞🍰 and garden.

Crazy cat facts! 🐱

The Liberty Animal Shelter has already taken in 230 cats and kittens off the streets so far this year. The Liberty Animal Shelter encourages the utilization of TNR (Trap/Neuter/Release) programs to help control community cat population.

While feeding stray cats is a kind act, it often leads to an overpopulation of unwanted, unvaccinated and uncared for cats. The Liberty Animal Shelter offers trap loan agreements for citizens to assist with the community cat population. For more information, please give the Shelter a call at 816.439.4791.
