Mia, the nervous but snuggly pug, was recently adopted by the Zuppardo family!
Even as a younger pup she developed a small growth on a leg that turned out to be a cancerous mass. But luckily it was surgically removed & her new family will continue to keep a close eye out for any lumps or bumps that may develop throughout her life.

At any age, it’s important to have any abnormal skin growths checked out by your veterinarian so they can be addressed sooner than later!

We thought we’d highlight one of our regular patients a little more in depth. Voodoo Bullock is a Flemish Giant rabbit.

Voodoo is part of a pet assisted therapy team. He enjoys his visits to Addington Place and schools. He loves to "curse” his friends with kindness and snuggles. He loves sharing bananas and Cilantro. Voodoo is a free-roaming house rabbit who shares his home with two Corgis; Carson and Elsie, and his big sis Golden, Hope.

Fun fact, a rabbit’s teeth continuously grown throughout their lives. Voodoo happens to have a malocclusion which is an abnormal alignment of his upper & lower teeth. He routinely comes in to have Dr. Anderson trim his lower front teeth so that he stays comfortable & can eat properly so he can keep up his energy to make his visits with friends! Voodoo is such a well behaved patient even during his visits to us at the clinic!

The 4th of July is approaching, so it's important to ensure your pet's safety preparations are in order.

1. Make sure your pet has been microchipped and has a collar on. The 4th of July has the most reported missing pets out of any other time of the year.
2. Talk to our staff about medications to help keep your pet less anxious
3. Give your pet lots of exercise during the day to help tire themselves out
4. Create a space for your pet where they can feel safe
5. Plan to leave your pet at home to keep them safe and avoid them getting
frightened and lost
6. Keep your pet distracted with sound, leave the TV or radio on.
7. Keep your fireworks up and away from their reach and clean up your yard after
celebrations.

Have a fun time celebrating!!!🎆🎇🎆
