ET on channel 18 and streaming https://www.youtube.com/ The Rockbridge Report is the only local news website and television broadcast for the Lexington, Buena Vista and Rockbridge community and has been since 1985. Produced weekly by journalism students at Washington and Lee University, The Rockbridge Report seeks to provide the community with fair, accurate and accountable news coverage and in-depth analysis of local issues. While the content is produced by Washington and Lee students and overseen by their professors, The Rockbridge Report focuses on news outside of the college campus. In three out of the last four years, The Rockbridge Report has won awards in the Society of Professional Journalists’ Region II Mark of Excellence Competition. Last fall, the converged news website also won an award in the category of “Best All-Around Independent Online Student Publication.” The Rockbridge Report has been a national runner-up in two of the last three years. on Thursdays, the television show is broadcast live on Channel 18. The website is published shortly thereafter. Macy, a longtime journalist, is challenging Cline for the right to represent Virginia’s 6th congressional district. Cline is seeking his fifth term, and is a long-time advocate for lowering taxes, increasing public safety, and reducing government spending. Macy, known for her reporting on rural Appalachia, is running a campaign focused on affordability, expanding access to healthcare, and regulating data centers.

U.S. Rep. Ben Cline is seeking his fifth consecutive term in Congress representing the 6th district, a race in which the Republican is facing off against Democrat Beth Macy, a veteran investigative journalist. Cline visited Washington and Lee University on Wednesday for an off-the-record talk with two student groups. In an interview afterward, he said lowering fuel prices is the key to reducing consumer costs.

This low-cost clinic is the first in the county dedicated solely to spaying and neutering pets. Opened last May, the project has been in the works for over two years.

The district is planning to implement a P.E. lending library that would allow visually impaired students to participate in physical education through specialized gear. The equipment is being funded by a grant from the Virginia Board for the Blind and Vision Impaired, an advisory group that advocates for those with disabilities.
