Today is all about celebrating the happiest, fluffiest party animals we know—our dogs. Whether yours is a zoomies champion, a professional napper, or the neighborhood’s self-appointed squirrel patrol, they deserve the spotlight today.

So here’s the agenda:
• Extra treats (no such thing as too many)
• A longer walk than usual
• Favorite toys everywhere
• Belly rubs on demand
• And maybe a little dance party in the living room

If you’ve got a dog, give them some extra love today. If you don’t, consider this your official reminder that dogs make everything better.

Observed on the second Saturday in June, Missing Mutts Awareness Day shines a spotlight on the thousands of beloved dogs that go missing every year and the families who never stop searching for them.

One of the simplest and most effective ways to help reunite lost pets with their owners is through microchipping. A microchip provides permanent identification that can't be lost, removed, or damaged like a collar or tag. When a lost dog is found, animal shelters and veterinary clinics can scan the microchip and quickly access the owner's contact information.

If your dog is already microchipped, take a few minutes today to make sure your contact information is up to date. If your pet isn't microchipped yet, consider scheduling an appointment with your veterinarian.

Together, we can help more lost dogs find their way home. ❤️🐶

We owe two very special team members a huge congratulations and an apology for our delayed recognition!

🎉 Kathryn celebrated her 3-year anniversary with Village Animal Hospital on May 1st, and 🎉 Kendall celebrated her 2-year anniversary with us on July 10th.

Kathryn and Kendall have both become invaluable members of our team, bringing compassion, dedication, and positivity to our hospital every day. Their commitment to our patients, clients, and fellow team members helps make Village Animal Hospital the special place it is.

We are incredibly grateful for all they do and are so sorry this post is a little overdue!
