𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗟, 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡 ... Unfortunately, we find ourselves having to address yet another completely false story being circulated about me personally and Idaho Animal Rescue Network.
These posts are coming from Misty Dawn Kalousek and Stephanie Dailey. Why? Well, perhaps they didn't appreciate us sharing screenshots of their own public posts and statements concerning animals and the rescues working tirelessly to help them.

Whatever their reasons, we now find ourselves the subject of another round of accusations.
So, since our name and reputation have been dragged into this, 𝗹𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿.
𝟭. I do not know the individual (Crista Carver) mentioned in their Facebook posts. I had never even heard of this person until these allegations began circulating.
𝟮. I attempted to respond publicly and correct the misinformation directly on their posts. Those comments were deleted. Apparently, allowing the other side of the story to be heard wasn't part of the plan.
𝟯. Idaho Animal Rescue Network has NEVER been involved with this individual (crista carver) in any capacity. I personally went back through our records, including adoption applications, pet pantry requests, and other intake records, to triple-check. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀𝗼𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿.
𝟰. Anyone who actually follows our rescue knows that we do not routinely handle cat cases. We simply don't have the accommodations for them, and we haven't handled a feline hoarding case in years. Ask our volunteers. Ask our administrators. This isn't exactly a secret.
In fact, the extent of our recent kitty involvement was three cats who showed up in our barn last week and were returned to their owner. That's about it for cat intakes over the past couple of years.
𝗦𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿:
Neither I nor Idaho Animal Rescue Network has any known connection to the individual or situation being described in these posts. Any suggestion otherwise is false.
I genuinely hate having to bring this nonsense onto our rescue's page. Our volunteers are currently juggling multiple animal cruelty and neglect cases, caring for animals recovering from horrific circumstances, coordinating foster placements, and trying to keep our pet pantries stocked as temperatures drop.
𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 is where our time, energy, and attention belong.
But when people publicly attach our rescue's name to allegations that have absolutely no basis in our records or experience, we have every right to correct the record.
Misty and Stephanie are welcome to their opinions about me. They are not entitled to invent a connection between our organization and a complete stranger and present it as fact.
And if there is actual evidence supporting these claims, we welcome the opportunity to review it.

To our supporters, volunteers, fosters, veterinary partners, and everyone who continues to stand behind this rescue, thank you. You know the work we do, and you know the integrity with which we do it.
We're going to keep doing that work, regardless of how much noise others choose to make.

UPDATE: When you do a search for "Misty Kalousek" on Facebook, this public post by Crista Carver comes up. See the screenshot below.
I don't know Crista Carver at all. Never met her, never spoken to her, and had never even heard of her until recently. But judging by her post, it's pretty apparent that she knows Misty Kalousek, and their history isn't exactly pleasant.
In fact, it seems that the only one with ties to Crista Carver is Misty herself ...
And it's becoming pretty damn clear to me that Misty's hatred of anyone who calls her out on her scams and BS is fueling an effort to create lies, manufacture false connections, and drag people into disputes they have absolutely nothing to do with.
