As a reminder, summer heat can be dangerous for pets, especially dogs with short snouts like Bulldogs, Pugs, and Frenchies.

Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting or drooling, bright red gums, wobbling, or vomiting. If you notice these signs, get your pet to a cool area, offer water, and call us immediately.

Dr. Brockhaus had the true honor of caring for sweet KC, the beloved therapy dog whose gentle soul brought comfort, healing, and joy to so many at St. Luke’s East. From his wellness visits to his final goodbye, Dr. Brockhaus cared for KC with unwavering compassion, love, and tenderness. He was truly one of a kind, and it was a privilege to be part of his beautiful journey. 💛

🥵With the summer heat, remember to check your pet’s water bowl more frequently!

Pets can’t sweat like humans. They cool down through panting and paw pad sweat, so staying hydrated is critical for regulating body temp.

4th of July is almost here! As a reminder - fireworks might be fun for us, but not so much for our pets.

If your pet gets anxious around loud noises, ask us about anti-anxiety options to help keep them calm.
