Porcupines do not make for fun mornings - for anyone! Thankfully their owners contacted us as soon as it happened.

Porcupine Scuffle Reminders:

Take your pet straight to the veterinarian! It is a good idea to call ahead and let them know you are on your way.

Don’t try to remove the quills yourself! This is a VERY PAINFUL event for your pet. Your veterinary team will sedate your pet and provide pain medication(s).

Do not trim the quills!

Keep your pet as calm and still as possible. You do not want your pet to paw at their face and break any quills.
