It’s a melancholy time of year on the farm. Starting to see the red blush on the maple trees, the corn has been harvested, and yesterday the Franklin gulls were spotted in the thousands, dancing the dance of migration.
Geese are resting at night on Lakeview and going out during the day to feed off of the cornstubble and surrounding land. The honking to one another seems more like a message to us. ….Slow down, quiet yourself, be present.
