The vines are starting to creep out and soon we won’t be able to cultivate with the tractor. All of the rows have been manually weeded, as in a guy with a hoe walking up and down the row, several times, since planting. When you are enjoying the sweetness of your next watermelon, remember the hard work involved in getting it to your table.

It’s always a challenge.
The hay truck had a flat with 350 bales on the ground. As rain was approaching, we aimed to avoid leaving bales on the ground overnight.
Loading onto pickups and trailers requires manual labor without mechanical lift assistance, making the work harder. 😵‍💫 But they successfully loaded the last bale and drove off the field just as the rain started!! 👏👏👏👏

Incorporating family heirlooms and cherished pieces into the celebration is a truly heartwarming gesture. Quilts made by family members who have passed on and vintage sewing machine drawers make for a unique and thoughtful silverware holder.

Before 8 o’clock this morning. It’s never ending and it is brutal in this heat. Thank a farmer today. 👏👏👏
