Happy Fish Room Friday!
These weeks are really flying by! We have been getting in a lot of fun friends in preparation for the holidays! We have some more “sharks,” but these are technically a type of catfish. However, the Colombian Shark gets very big and predatory, so it can definitely act like a shark! We also have a new selection of fancy swordtails and mollies! The Ruffled Swordtails are a new favorite here in the fish room, along with the BLANK mollies! The BLANK mollies are also stunning, sporting the signature balloon molly look that I hate to say I love!

🦜 Meet the Adoptable Pet of the Week from Feathered Sanctuary! 🦜

Goffy is a 38-year-old Goffin Cockatoo. We know his exact hatch date - October 31st, 1987!

He came to Feathered Sanctuary after his previous owners faced health challenges, and he’s been part of our flock for a little over a year. We don’t have much more information about his past, but we do know that he plucks his feathers. The good news? He’s starting to grow some new fluff again, and we’re so proud of his progress!

Goffy is especially fond of women and can take some time to warm up to new people. His ideal home would be with a patient caregiver who has experience with larger birds and can give him the time, diet, and lifestyle he needs to continue to thrive!

After eight unforgettable years as our beloved educational ambassador, Bazzle, the Ball Python who stole our hearts, is officially retiring! 🐍

Bazzle joined our store family in April 2017 at the remarkable age of 18! She came to us with a condition called dysecdysis, which makes shedding her skin a challenge. Thanks to the tireless care of our dedicated team and her amazing veterinarian, Dr. Riehl, Bazzle has thrived with us for many years.

After much consideration, we’ve decided that the best place for Bazzle to continue to thrive in her later years is with Dr. Riehl, who has always been her biggest champion and can provide the specialized care she needs. While we’ll miss her dearly, we are excited for her to enjoy retirement in a home filled with love and expert care.

Join us on December 14th from 11am to 2pm as we come together to wish Bazzle well on her new journey into retirement!

Happy Fish Room Friday! ✨
It has been so busy in the fish room, but I am excited to be back on track, showing you some lovely new fish! The one that I am most excited about is our newest fish: the freshwater Pan Sole! Just like their saltwater friends, they are able to change color to best blend into their surroundings! We got some fish that we haven’t had in a while, like the Gold Weather Loaches and Yellow Leaf Scorpionfish! The Gold Weather Loach is a very active fish that loves to bury into the substrate, while the Scorpionfish is the total opposite and patiently waits for their prey while looking like a rock! And lastly, I wanted to highlight our new Spongy Decorator Crabs because these two came in very large! Like the name suggests, they are amazing at decorating their body with anything they can scavenge from the tank!
