Miracles Therapeutic Riding

Miracles Therapeutic Riding A non-profit 501(c)(3) providing equine therapy services. Visit miraclestrc.org and follow us!

Miracles Therapeutic Riding Center was established by Chris Griffith in 2006 to fill the need in the northwest community for a local therapeutic riding facility. We currently operate out of the M&M Equestrian Center off of Highway 287 and Jasper Road in Erie, Colorado. Therapeutic Riding involves many different aspects including opportunity for physical, mental, and emotional growth and healing.

Each lesson, horse, and equipment used is tailored to each rider and their specific goals. Therapeutic riding is a field that is continually growing and expanding. As it does new research is coming out that shows the amazing benefits and impacts of therapeutic riding. These majestic creatures, known as the horse, have much to give us! Many can benefit from therapeutic riding including those with: Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Multiple Sclerosis, Traumatic Brain Injury, Amputations, ADD or other Hyperactivity Disorder, Muscular Dystrophy, Paralysis, Visual and Auditory Impairment, Learning Disabilities, and, Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or if you would like information about how to get involved with this wonderful program!

Spring is almost here! With warmer temperatures coming we want to start enjoying a lot more time riding outside. Please help us fill and refurbish the arena footing in the lower arena by donating to our Arena Renewal campaign. We have a donation for the use of the equipment. Now all we need is the material! You can donate by visiting gofundme or go to our website and click the link there. https://gofund.me/d4a592b2

We’re looking forward to a great summer in our new arena!

Welcome Georgie and Charlie! These two lovely girls are BLM adoptees owned by Courtney. They are still a little shy around people, but probably wouldn’t mind a quiet hello from the outside of their fence. The best part - one or both of them might be having a baby in the coming months! Always great things happening around here!

We need your help! We would love to be able to soak up vitamin d riding outside as it gets warmer moving into spring and summer, but we also have to keep safety in the forefront of our minds when planning lessons. Our outdoor arena is a vital space for these transformative experiences, and after a few rough winters, it is in desperate need of resurfacing. A safe arena with high-quality footing means smoother rides, happier feet (of both equines and volunteers), and a better environment for both riders and horses. Every dollar brings us closer to a safe, sustainable space where Miracles can continue happening.

It’s lunch time! We are always looking for people to sign up to bring the horses in for their lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If you are interested in getting trained on feeding, please give Lori a call 303-883-4667 or email at [email protected]. The horses will love you forever once you’ve given them their lunch!
