Here's a little barn story that absolutely deserves recognition...proving that riding is not just for "funzies"
Novalyn came for her 3rd lesson since her winter break 🥶 and asked to ride Shadowfax, before I could say "how about sugar"? I heard Rachel say "yes" and my head starting spinning...for so many reasons...mostly worried for Nova riding a very forward horse, not her typical vibe.
The 1st couple of laps were great, she talked to him the whole time, had excellent control, however...everytime she passed me - she would say " my anxiety is thru the roof"....but she kept on riding, concentrating, and most importantly...this horse made her THINK and take things serious. By the second 1/2 of the lesson she said "I found my new favorite horse, can I ride him next ?" This was such a proud "barn mom" moment for me ❤️
Not to mention, Shadowfax was also a very good boy for her as well, he has really settled in nicely ( being brought along by my advanced riders) this is what it's all about 😀
