Today we celebrate 🌍🐾 World Veterinary Day 🐾🌍

Behind every healthy pet, every answered late-night emergency call, and every life-saving procedure, there is a dedicated team working tirelessly to make it all possible. Veterinary professionals do so much more than medicine—they provide comfort, compassion, and hope during some of the most difficult moments for both pets and their people.

From our doctors and technicians to our client service coordinators, assistants, and support teams—this day is for all of you. Your passion, resilience, and commitment do not go unnoticed.

In emergency medicine especially, every second counts—and because of you, countless pets get a second chance.

💙 Thank you for the long hours
💙 Thank you for the emotional strength
💙 Thank you for treating every patient like your own

To all veterinary professionals: we see you, we appreciate you, and today we celebrate you.

It’s Client Services Professionals Week, and we’re taking a moment to recognize the incredible team that keeps our hospital running smoothly every single day. 💙

In an emergency veterinary hospital, our Client Services team is often the very first and last interaction our clients have—and they handle it all with compassion, patience, and strength. From emotional moments to fast-paced emergencies, they are the steady, caring presence our clients and patients rely on.

This week, we’re celebrating our amazing Client Service Coordinators, Patient Care Coordinators, Referral Coordinators, and Schedulers—because they truly are the heart of our hospital.

Here’s how we showed our appreciation this week:✨ Monday: Kudos Day🥐 Tuesday: Breakfast Snack Bar🥗 Wednesday: Soup, Salad & Breadsticks🍪 Thursday: Crumbl Cookie Day🌸 Friday: Floral Appreciation Day

We’re so grateful for each and every one of you!

Please enjoy some highlights of our wonderful CSC team—Stephany, Jaelyn, Elisa, and Mariana—along with three very special (and unofficial) team members: Lincoln, Brax, and Jyn 🐾

Now we’d love to hear from you—how has our Client Services team helped you and your beloved pet? 💬

With spring in full swing, you may be considering a spring cleaning at home. But to keep your pets safe, the best practice is to read the ingredient label of any household products prior to purchasing and be particularly careful with products containing ingredients such as bleach, any acids or oxide/hydroxide ingredients.

Toxic Ingredients for Pets to Avoid:
Hydrogen Peroxide
Isopropyl Alcohol (or rubbing alcohol)
Bleach
Ammonia
Phenols

If you suspect your pet has been poisoned or are concerned about possible exposure, contact a veterinarian or seek veterinary medical help right away. Two good options, which do have a small cost associated with them, are the Pet Poison Helpline at 1 (844) 492-9842 or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control at 1 (888) 426-4435. This may save you a trip to the pet emergency room.

We do our best to mend all of life’s unexpected fractures, even broken hearts.

For the better part of our married life, my wife and I have had been fortunate to be blessed with the companionship of a Westie. We have never taken this responsibility lightly, so when it came time to say goodbye, the pain ran deep.
