We had such an amazing time at Bark in the Park last Saturday.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support us — whether you stopped by our table, bought a shirt, asked about fostering or volunteering, or simply came over to say hi. Every smile, conversation, and donation helps us continue saving lives.

We are so grateful for our wonderful community, our fosters, volunteers, and supporters who make events like this possible. Because of you, we can keep giving dogs and cats a second chance at love and freedom.

A very special thank you to our generous supporters who donated craft items for us to sell, the T-shirt company Jag Wear Apparell who donated shirts, and to our amazing volunteers of the day — Julie, Nate, Tiffany, Laura, Renee, and our junior volunteers Derek, Michael and Kellieann. ✨ Pharaoh’s Happy Ending ✨
Rescue work isn’t always easy, but it’s the happy endings that remind us why every challenge, every dollar, and every sleepless night is worth it. 💕

We’re thrilled to share that Pharaoh—now named Larry—is living his very best life with his new mom, dad, and kitty brother Gary! 🐾

His new mom says:
“Larry has fully come out of his shell! He’s so vocal, always singing around the house. He loves chasing his toy balls for hours and, most of all, he absolutely adores his brother Gary! They eat together, play together, nap on the cat tree together, and Larry loves cuddling with us at night.”

Despite a tough kitten season, we’ve seen so many beautiful success stories like Larry’s this year—and it’s all thanks to our amazing fosters, generous donors, and supportive friends who share our posts.

From all of us at Four Legged Freedom Rescue (and from Larry too 😺), thank you for helping us give so many animals a second chance at love and happiness. 💜

THEY HAVE RUN OUT OF OPTIONS 💔😭

As many of you know, we’ve been trying to help Lola & Remmington for the past week. They had completely run out of time — several local shelters were contacted about them, and one of those shelters heard that we were trying to help and reached out to us because they were unable to take them in.

They were very honest and transparent: if they took them in, these seniors would likely be euthanized due to their age and the difficulty of shelter life. We are so grateful that they reached out to us rather than letting that happen, but it still leaves us, as a small rescue, facing an extremely difficult situation.

👉 Today, Lola & Remmington will be heading to the vet for care before going into boarding. While boarding is not ideal, they will at least be safe until adoption.

✨ We want to give a huge thank you to Gray Animal
Center for getting them in so quickly and to Snazzy Pet for giving them a safe place to stay. 💕

We have posted pictures of their vet estimates, and the costs are significant. These seniors deserve comfort, love, and health in their golden years.

The good news: we already have a potential adopter lined up to meet them next weekend. There is hope! But we need help to get them there.

𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗲 💔🌈

I didn’t even have time to introduce her litter — the “Fruit Litter” before we had to say goodbye. 😭

On the way to the vet, I kept Lychee tucked inside my shirt, close to my heart. I kissed her tiny head and told her how much I loved her, not knowing if I’d ever see her again.

In the end, our amazing foster Maddy held her in her final moments so she wasn’t alone. For that, I am forever grateful — but it’s still so incredibly hard.

Too many kittens are born unwanted and unhealthy because people don’t spay and neuter their pets. With your help, we were able to give her every possible chance, but sometimes, despite all the support and love in the world, their little bodies just can’t keep up. Even though her time was short, Lychee knew love — and that matters so much.

It’s devastating to watch them struggle, and days like today leave us feeling defeated and heartbroken.

Our little one went home tonight with one of the amazing staff members at Animal Hospital Of S**o. She’ll continue to be tube-fed and kept warm in an incubator, surrounded by so much love and care. 💝

Her prognosis is still very guarded, but we are giving her every chance possible. 🫶🏻🐾
