If you’re looking for a dog with a 𝗕𝗜𝗚 personality and an even bigger heart, Toph is your girl!

Toph is a local dog who was raised with a family including children and cats her whole life. Then sadly after 6 years her family moved and didn’t take her with them, leaving her behind with an individual who stepped up and reached out to us for help.🥺

She is smart, silly, affectionate, and the ultimate Velcro dog. She loves hiking, exploring, car rides, toys, belly rubs, giving kisses, and being wherever her people are. She already knows tons of commands, loves training, and will keep you laughing with her little howls, piggy snorts, upside-down playtime, and signature bat ears. 🦇

Toph absolutely loves people and does great with kids. She has successfully lived with cats with slow introductions, but she is dog reactive and is looking for a home where she can be the 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬 𝗗𝗢𝗚. 🐾

She’s looking for someone who will continue her training, take her on adventures, and appreciate having a goofy, loyal shadow by their side.

Toph doesn’t need canine friends—she just needs 𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡. 🩷

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗚𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗲! 👻

At just 1 year old and about 60 pounds, Ghostie is one of those incredibly sweet, mild-mannered dogs who seems to fit right in wherever he goes.

He’s wonderful with dogs, cats, and kids and has a friendly, easygoing personality that makes him such a well-rounded boy. He loves his toys, enjoys walks and adventures, but is just as happy hanging out with his people and soaking up attention.

Ghostie is crate trained and potty trained and has been doing fantastic in his foster home. Like any young dog, continued consistency and positive reinforcement will help him keep building on those great skills.

Sweet, social, and ready to be someone’s best friend! Ghostie is the total package. 🖤

𝗜𝗡𝗝𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗞𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 — 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗗

We just received an emergency call about an injured cat found in someone’s backyard right here in Kennebunk.

This poor cat was 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. 💔 The smell coming from the wounds is extremely concerning.

We have the cat safely with us now and are rushing to the emergency vet.

We don’t know the extent of the injuries yet, but there was no question—we need help.

𝗪𝗲 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝘃𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲.

We don’t have an estimate yet, but as soon as we do, we will share it with everyone. If you’ve ever had to take an animal to the emergency vet, you know firsthand just how quickly those costs can add up.

𝗛𝗘 𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣𝗦 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗗𝗢𝗚𝗦 𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗡. 💔

honestly we don’t know why no one has chosen Casper yet.🥺

This sweet 1-year-old, 35-pound boy has gone to adoption events, put on his best smile, met people, and watched as dog after dog left with their forever family.

Casper is still waiting.

He is incredibly sweet, affectionate and playful, and when Casper loves his person, he bonds deeply. He loves toys, water, adventures and being included—but he’s just as happy curling up beside his person when the day is over. 🤍

And talk about well-rounded… Casper currently lives with several dogs ranging from little to large, along with chickens and horses! He is crate, trained, house trained, and has made so much progress since arriving in Maine.

He isn’t asking for much.

Just for someone to finally look at him and say, “You’re coming home with me.” 🥹

EDWARD IS ADOPTED! 🎉

Our handsome, sweet German Shorthaired Pointer, Edward, was adopted today!

We are SO happy for this special boy and his wonderful new family. Edward has officially found his forever home, and we couldn’t be more excited for him! 🤎

We are SO happy to share that our sweet Pepe has found his forever home! 🏡

We always say, don’t overlook the quiet ones — sometimes they’re the ones with the biggest hearts. And Pepe proved exactly that.

At 8 years old, this gentle, shy boy just needed someone willing to give him the time and patience to feel safe and let his incredibly sweet personality shine.

Happy forever, Pepe! You deserve every bit of it. 💗

𝗠𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦 𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗔! 🩷
Her heart is just as big as her beautiful smile. 🥹

She absolutely loves everyone she meets, people, kids, and other dogs. There is a softness and sweetness about her that shines through the moment she looks at you, like she already considers you a friend.

She is still young, active, and full of life, always ready for a walk, a hike, or a new adventure with her people. However this girl is also an incredibly cuddly, affectionate sweetheart. As you can see from her photo, she is more than happy being held like a baby, soaking up every bit of love and closeness she can get!

Once a stray in Texas, now safe and loved in Maine.

Now what she needs is simple: a stable, secure home where she will never have to wonder again if she belongs. Just a place where she can finally exhale, settle in, and be someone’s forever girl. 💕
