With temperatures rising, it's important to know the signs of heat exhaustion in pets:
🚨 Excessive panting
🚨 Heavy drooling
🚨 Weakness or lethargy
🚨 Vomiting or diarrhea
🚨 Collapse or difficulty walking
Flat-faced breeds like Pugs, Bulldogs, Boston Terriers and Frenchies are especially at risk because they have a harder time cooling themselves.
💧 Keep fresh water available, limit outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day, and never leave pets in a parked vehicle.
If you think your pet may be suffering from heat stroke, seek veterinary care immediately—it can become life-threatening very quickly.

We recently had the pleasure of caring for sweet Pugsy while he waited for his next chapter. Thanks to the dedication and compassion of DFW Pug Rescue, that chapter turned out to be the best one yet—Pugsy has been reunited with his loving family!
