Meet Gizmo!
Gizmo is a Minskin, a newer and very unique cat breed — and the first one Dr. Johnston has had the chance to meet!

Minskins originated in the United States and are a mix of several breeds, including the Munchkin, Burmese, Sphynx, and Devon Rex. They’re known for their adorable look, short legs, and big personalities.

We’re just hoping his owners remember not to feed him after midnight… because he might already be the cutest little kitten we’ve ever seen!

As the temperatures rise, it's essential to keep our furry friends safe from the heat. With warnings in effect, please remember:

- Hot Cement: Pavements and sidewalks can reach scorching temperatures that may burn your pet's paws. Test the ground with your hand; if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them!

- Rising Temperatures: Keep an eye on the weather and be aware that high temperatures can lead to heat exhaustion in pets. Always provide plenty of water and shade.

- Limited Outdoor Time: Try to limit your pet's outdoor activities during peak hours (10 AM to 4 PM) when the sun is at its strongest. Opt for early morning or late evening walks instead.

Let’s ensure our pets stay cool and healthy this summer! If you notice any signs of overheating, such as excessive panting, drooling, or lethargy, contact us right away!
