We’re thrilled to introduce Dr. Shannon Fehrenbach to the Kingsland Blvd Animal Clinic team!

A proud native Texan, Dr. Fehrenbach grew up in Northwest Houston and earned her Animal Science degree from Sam Houston State University in 2016. After living in Katy, she went on to graduate from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. Her clinical interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and preventive care—areas where she’s passionate about partnering with pet families to support lifelong wellness.

When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Fehrenbach enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their two cats, Greg and Butter Pecan.

Help Animals Impacted by the Texas Flooding 🐾💙

The recent flooding in Texas has displaced countless families and their pets. Kerrville Pets Alive is working tirelessly to rescue, shelter, reunite, and care for animals affected by this disaster — but they can’t do it alone.

We’ve set up a fundraiser through our Instagram and pages, and 100% of the funds will go directly to Kerrville Pets Alive to help provide food, medical care, and safe shelter for pets in crisis.

🐶 Pet Safety Tips for the 4th of July:
Keep Pets Indoors: Fireworks can be frightening for pets. Keep them inside in a quiet, secure room to minimize stress.

Avoid Harmful Foods: Keep pets away from human foods, especially those that are toxic to them, like chocolate, grapes, and alcohol.

Provide Fresh Water: Ensure pets have access to cool, fresh water to stay hydrated, especially in the summer heat.

Secure Identification: Make sure your pet has a collar with an ID tag and is microchipped in case they get lost.

Limit Outdoor Time: Avoid walks during peak heat hours to prevent heatstroke. Wishing you and your pets a safe and joyful Independence Day! 🎆🐾

• Turn on the TV or radio to help drown out the fireworks noise
• Stay home if you can — your comfort matters most to them

Meet Dr. Max Rinaldi, Medical Director and partner at Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Springfield, OR.

Max’s journey with Lakefield started unexpectedly—during paternity leave—but quickly turned into a story of leadership, mentorship, and meaningful growth. From his first ER shift to becoming a partner in the hospital, Max has built a career rooted in compassion and connection.

He’s proudest not just of the pets he’s helped, but of the team he’s helped grow. “Watching people rise into new roles and thrive—that’s what sticks with me.”
