We welcomed Kimber to our puppy headstart program today. She is 9 weeks old and her owner has big plans for this firecracker.

With the 4th of July coming up and all the missing dogs that occur, I feel like this needs to be said.

If you have a puppy or a dog that has not been acclimated to loud noises, put them on a leash if you are going to be out and about. Do not let them roam around even in a fenced in yard. They will do crazy things sometimes when scared.

If you have a dog that has been acclimated to loud noises(hunting dog) just keep in my mind they may not be running scared but instead running to find what's falling because someone shot something.

With that being said, just be mindful, keep all dogs on leash or put up in a safe environment they can not escape out of. Have a safe and happy 4th of July.
